In the 16th century, a sword surfaces that is so powerful, so evil that warriors from all over the globe seek it out. It is Soul Edge, a demon blade. From America to Europe to Japan, these warriors fight each other for the chance to obtain it. Soul Blade is a 3D weapons fighting game that chronicles their story.
A complete 3D fighting game that allows for side steps, Soul Blade has twelve colorful fighters (ten standard, two hidden, plus additional costumes for a few fighters), each with various weapons and styles. The first ten can be used in all the combat modes, while the hidden two can only be used in versus and arcade mode.
Namco enhanced the arcade version (called Soul Edge) by adding a well done CGI intro, plus a story mode to the addition of the traditional team, survival, and time attack modes. The story mode goes into greater detail about each character, and is presented in an ancient book format. The story mode also allows you to unlock more of each characters' extra weapons. These weapons, which vary in lengths, stats, and durability, add to the options available players in the versus mode.
Soul Blade's sequel is SoulCalibur, both in the arcades and for the Sega Dreamcast.

Spectral Tower (スペクトラルタワー ) is a role-playing game for the PlayStation that was only released in Japan and the first game developed by Idea Factory, creator of various otaku games such as Cross Edge and the Neptunia series. You play as an adventurer that's looking for wonders and treasure, and it's said that the Spectral Tower contains both that are beyond any person's imagination. Your objective is to get to the top of that tower and see what the heavens can give you that Earth can't.
The game is infamous for its extremely long length. Each floor in the towers contain procedurally generated floor layouts and monster layouts, and the titular Spectral Tower contains 1000 of these floors. It also has enemies that can destroy items that you're carrying, chests that have to be attacked if your chest opening level is too low, and dozens and dozens of traps.
For this run, CoolHandMike decides he doesn't want to deal with all that tedium and annoyance and greatly manipulates the RNG so that the floor teleporting items, the Warp Rod and Jump Rod, can skip as many floors as possible without fail. In the process, he clears even the 10,000 floor Final Tower in record time. For more details on the mechanics of the game, you can read the author's notes.

In true platformer-sequel style, Spyro the Dragon's vacation is interrupted by a dinosaur-riding sorcerer by the name of Ripto invading the world of Avalar, who naturally needs to be stopped. Since vacation is the paramount concern of Spyro, this is naturally done as quickly as possible without any concern for the well-being of Avalar.
This run aims to beat the game as fast as possible while collecting 14 talismans (the minimum normally necessary to be able to fight Ripto). We also have a run that beats the game even faster by bypassing these items.
The author has also done a run for the first Spyro game.

A sound plugin with less-than-perfect sound reproduction (in particular during cutscenes like the ending cinematic, which are largely silent) is necessary for the run to sync; do not be alarmed if this affects your enjoyment of the movie.

The powerful fighter Heihachi Mishima throws his five-year-old son Kazuya off a cliff, saying that the child will survive the fall if he is truly his son. The fatally wounded boy is approached by the Devil, who offers him his life and a chance to become a fearsome fighter in exchange for his soul. Determined to get even with his father, Kazuya agrees. Twenty-one years later, Heihachi, now the head of a corrupt corporation, organizes a fighting championship his son is eager to join.
Tekken is a versus fighting game developed by Namco, first released in the arcades in 1994, then ported to the PlayStation in 1995. Besides Kazuya, other fighters of the tournament all have their own range of moves, something to prove, and a reason for any combat opponent to fear them. Tekken Force, a paramilitary organization protecting the Mishima karate fighters, is nearly obliterated by the mighty Ogre. Heihachi Mishima's only hope is his grandson Jin Kazama, who lives with his mother Jun, unaware of his legacy. When the Ogre attacks his home and presumably kills his mother, Jin seeks out his grandfather and learns the martial arts of the family. On his nineteenth birthday, Heihachi announces the King of the Iron Fist Tournament 3, hoping that Jin will use the opportunity take out the meddlesome Ogre.
Tekken 3, like its predecessors, is a versus fighting game. New features include prominently featured side-stepping, allowing characters to retreat into the background and back during fights, more combo throws, fifteen more characters, and reduced jumping capabilities to allow for more realistic combat. Also included are two minigames: Tekken Force, a beat-em-up stage that unlocks a new character, and Tekken Ball, a beach volleyball variant where characters are hurt by the ball.
Spikestuff improves their previous movie by 8.23 seconds in real time, thanks to performing less pause buffering and using Double Suicide to improve the manipulation. The total in-game time of 8'80 remains unchanged.

Electronic Arts brings Blizzard's best-selling strategy game to the PlayStation and Saturn in this release. They've combined all the missions from Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness and its expansion pack, Beyond the Dark Portal, into one package.
You take charge of either the humans and elves or the orcish hordes for control of the lands of Azeroth. Eventually you work through the dark portal and into the orcs' homeland. You take charge of either side as you work through more than 20 missions per side in the fight for survival.
New features for the console release include an auto-build option, where you can set a queue of units to be produced, and the ability to select sixteen units at a time instead of the PC's nine.
This run by Flip plays through the Humans' Tides of Darkness campaign.
For a run of the Orc Campaign by the same author, see this run.

Wild Arms is a Western-themed role-playing video game developed by Japanese company Media.Vision. Originally released in Japan in 1996 for the PlayStation, it was later translated and released in North America in 1997 and Europe in 1998 by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is noteworthy for being one of the first role-playing video games on the PlayStation, as well as one of the few to feature a Western American setting and motif. The game features 2D computer graphics for normal gameplay, while battle sequences are rendered in 3D.
Taking place in the fantasy world of Filgaia, Wild Arms follows the adventures of a band of miscreants and adventurers called Dream Chasers who scour the world in search of excitement and fortune. The player assumes control of a young boy named Rudy who has the ability to operate powerful weapons called Ancient Relic Machines (ARMs), forbidden remnants of a lost age that resemble firearms. Along with his companions Jack and Cecilia, the group must use their respective skills to navigate through the vast wastelands and dungeons of Filgaia and prevent an otherworldly threat from reviving their lost leader and destroying the world.
While this movie played by lapogne36 features a lot of heavy glitches, it still avoids the arbitrary code execution techniques that could have made the movie way shorter, but probably less entertaining as a whole.

Wipeout is a popular futuristic racing game for the PlayStation and the first game in the Wipeout series. Known for its eclectic techno soundtrack, it also has a limited combat system where weapons and powerups can be used to slow down or destroy enemy racers and protect yourself from said enemy racers.
In this run, Napoleon opts to use vehicles from the Auricom team and plays through the Championship Race on the Rapier difficulty, setting record times on multiple tracks and reaching the credits as fast as possible. To do this, an in-game code to unlock the final track, "Firestar", is inputted as the game normally has to be beaten first in order to unlock it.

X-COM: UFO Defense is a revolutionary turn-based strategy game in which the player is given the role of the commander of humanity's last hope against the alien invasion. However, this alien menace must not only be fought with bravery and tactics on the battlefield, but also with study of captured alien technology and maintenance of a proper budget.
This TAS by willbobsled manages to beat the game in under 15 minutes by only partaking in 3 missions and with careful planning and luck manipulation.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories is a card-based video game. The rules are one of the simplified prototypes made while developing the trading card game from the manga. The player controls Yugi, who pieces together the millenium puzzle, travels to ancient Egypt, and defeats evil.
In this run, GenericMadScientist barely uses Fusion to overpower the enemies unlike the previous run and manipulates his way to get Meteor B. Dragon early, then beat most duels in 2 turns, thereby saving 12 minutes and 58.68 seconds.
