Crayon Shin-chan (クレヨンしんちゃん) is a Japanese manga about a funny 5-year-old. In this game based on the series, the main character can turn into a variety of animals (and even a robot) while platforming through familiar landscapes.
For TASing, the most powerful transformation is the flying squirrel, which can skip some areas with tool assisted precision.

Gamera: Daikaijuu Kuuchuu Kessen is a fighting game released in 1995. It is fairly unique in the sense that the fighting style is turn-based instead of being in direct control of the action.
CasualPokePlayer defeats all five of Gamera's opponents (including a clone) in record time.

When the Earth is threatened, Zordon summons teenagers 'with attitude' to become the Power Rangers, defenders of all that is good.
In this game, the world is threatened by the forces of evil, which are attacking on multiple fronts, and led by Ivan Ooze. The Rangers have decided to split up and each tackle one of the main bad guys, fighting their way through the enemy hordes and finally returning Ooze to the sludge he belongs in.
The author, GoddessMaria, pairs each Ranger with his or her respective enemy boss and morphs into each Ranger as soon as possible in order to make the run more entertaining at the cost of speed.

Mole Mania, known as Moguranya (モグラ~ニャ) in Japan, is an action puzzle game. The main character is a mole named Muddy Mole, whose wife and children have been kidnapped by the farmer, Jinbe. Muddy has to go to Jinbe Land and save his family. In the game, the player will solve puzzles by moving a black ball to a gate. However, there are many obstacles and enemies in the way. Therefore the player will dig into ground to find ways around them.
This run aims to beat all levels as fast as possible without using surrender. To accomplish this, the author, Ryuto, uses a warp glitch to skip many rooms. As always, please see the author's notes for more details.
There is also a run by the same author that skips several levels.

The player skips 6 levels out of 8 using a glitch, causing the time records to be nullified from the second stage to the seventh stage. The previous run used a reset glitch to perform this skip. This time, a different warp glitch was used, which is where most of the 02:45.93 improvement comes from.

Who'd have thought playing Tetris could be such a Blast?
Tetris Blast is a spin on the classic Tetris formula. The new type of blocks, bomb blocks, detonate when they are part of a line that gets completed and destroy the blocks around them. A chain reaction of bomb block explosions or a carefully positioned square of four bomb blocks can take out the entire screen.
The author, Ryuto, manipulates luck and forms bomb block squares and explosion chain reactions to finish this game in just under 4 minutes.
This is the only Tetris Blast game released outside of Japan (where it is known as Bombliss). To see a run of one of the Bombliss games by the same author, watch this run.

Ultraman Ball is a platform game featuring the famous Japanese television character Ultraman. However, the game has little to nothing to do with Ultraman, as oddly enough, his power in this game is to transform into a ball and bounce around a lot. Some say this game is based on the abandoned NES project, Armadillo 2, and in fact the game is very similar to Armadillo.
Serena improves the previous TAS by about 9 seconds, if emulation differences are ignored. This is thanks to better optimization and newly discovered wall glitches.

This movie proves the benefit of sleeping in late. In a departure from most runs, which try to start as soon as possible, the authors avoid any input for over two minutes to enable a faster route.
This Wario game is a fairly unique platformer where you not only play as "the bad guy", but normal damage is replaced with various status effects like catching on fire. In addition, the use of these effects is needed to complete the game.
This run beats the previous movie by 1 minute and 35 seconds through the use of new tricks such as clipping into walls to reach out-of-bounds goal doors, which are only present in this version of the game.
There is also a 100% run of this game on the colorful GBC version.
