Based on the manga Kishin Douji Zenki (鬼神童子ZENKI), this game is about two characters, Chiaki and her reluctant demon servant Zenki. They have saved the world from the forces of darkness before, but apparently once is never enough. Chiaki has a vision of five cloaked figures and knows that only she and Zenki can stop them. They set off at once to track down the demon leaders.
Watch as Dooty rushes through this game in just over 13 minutes using many of Zenki's flashy attacks. Along the way, some stone monuments need to be destroyed in order to proceed. For more details, see the author's comments.
Note: The author plays in Normal mode since Hard mode is not available until you've already beaten the game once. Also, Normal mode reduces the amount of enemies on screen, so it has less lag than Hard mode.

The objective of Lamborghini: American Challenge is to become the champion of illegal street racing. The player speeds through street traffic, while avoiding speed traps, and makes his way across the finish line first.
Instead, here laranja uses a glitch to gain thousands of dollars by losing a race. Then, he buys the best equipment, enabling him to drive very, very fast. Specifically, he is now able to complete the timed races that are required to beat the game. If you're looking for a run of a racing game that drives 310 MPH on icy roads, look no further—you have it right here!
In this version, the author makes an improvement of over 2 minutes by skipping more of the 2nd race.

Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems is a platform game featuring Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, and Wolverine. In it, you must collect Infinity Gems (Also known as Soul Gems), which possess special powers, before they fall into the wrong hands. Luckily, you can equip the ones you have to help you find the ones you don't. This game should not be confused with an arcade fighting game with a similar name.
The player, Dooty, primarily uses Iron Man to boost through the game in less than 19 minutes. He does this with careful planning, clever boss strategies, and a whole lot of gems. Never once in this run does he take damage. For more information, please see the author's notes.

Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow (1996) was among the later games released on SNES, which had its positive impact on production values. As a result, the game sports remarkable design and animation quality.
In addition to that, it stars Donald Duck in the role of Maui Mallard, a detective with an alter ego of a blindfolded ninja called Cold Shadow, on the task of retrieving the lost Shabum Shabum idol on a remote tropical island. And no, the plot doesn't get more sensible from that point on.
The author, funnyhair, improves on the previous run by nearly two minutes by optimizing movement and boss fights, among other things. For more details, as always, please see the author's notes.

Rockman & Forte (ロックマン&フォルテ), known as Mega Man & Bass in the Western world, used to be the last game chronologically released for the original Rockman/Mega Man series, until Rockman & Forte Mirai kara no Chōsensha (ロックマン&フォルテ 未来からの挑戦者) was released on the WonderSwan handheld system.
This game bears a striking resemblance to Mega Man 8, not only in style, but in excessive graphic detail. Similarly to Mega Man X4, the player has the option to choose one of two characters to play through. In this run, Rockman is chosen.
This run is 00:41.65 seconds faster than the previous run, demonstrating that this game is even glitchier than it originally appeared.
There are two more Rockman & Forte runs to watch on this site; featuring completion of the game with Forte as fast as possible and collection of all CDs with Rockman.

This time around, Dr. Wily has his own creation turned against him, allowing the player to use Mega Man or a bad guy!
However, in this run, the players only use Mega Man and collect each and every CD in the game, which shouldn't be possible using only one character. Then again, many things happen in this movie that weren't intended to be possible.
This run is a collaboration between sparky, the current author of the other branches for this game, parrot14green, the author of the previous "100 CDs" run, and woabcfl, the author of the Rockman no Constancy runs. It improves the previous movie by 01:40.97. You can read the authors' comments for more details.

In the latest in silly ideas turned into inspirations for our ever-dedicated TASers, this movie takes one controller and wires it into three SNES emulators at once; the same input is used to play 3 games simultaneously with one controller. There are also animations constructed with spare controllers during this movie.
This movie beats the first three Mega Man X games with 100% completion each (an improvement on its predecessor, which beat only the first two games and without 100% completion).
If you like this movie, there are other movies that beat four games with one controller!
Note: There might be a visual anomaly during the battle with Serges in X 2. This is an emulator bug relating to the Cx4 chip used in the Mega Man X 2 cartridge.
Encoder's Note: There are multiple audio tracks included with the encode. Track 1 is the combined audio of all 3 games panned so that the left side is MMX1, center is MMX2, and right is MMX3. Track 2 contains MMX1's audio, track 3 contains MMX2's audio, and track 4 contains MMX3's audio.

Mega Man X3 is the third game in the Mega Man X series, and the last one to be released on the SNES.
This is the second "100%" run of this game. agwawaf speeds through the game very rapidly, collecting all heart tanks, subtanks, Ride Armor modules, upgrades and finally the Golden Armor. However, Zero is kept alive and his Z-Saber is not obtained, so the author could get the best ending.
The page Mega Man X Tricks explains some of the tricks that are used in this tool-assisted speedrun.

A Secret of Mana TAS has finally come to TASVideos!
Secret of Mana is a widely popular action RPG published by Square. It is internationally regarded as the first game of the Mana series, though the Japanese title is Seiken Densetsu 2, so it is the sequel of Final Fantasy Adventure. It utilizes real-time battles like many other action RPGs while including some unique features such as the Ring Command and multiplayer action.
Touch-me beats the game very quickly, using three players simultaneously and a whole host of glitches. For instance, many bosses can be hit for 999 instant damage using a charge counter glitch, and certain plot points are skipped. See the submission comments for more details.

There also is a YouTube encode that contains commentary from the author in the form of hard subtitles.

In Spanky's Quest, you take control of a bubble wielding monkey named Spanky. When you bounce a bubble, it changes colors, and depending on what color it is when it is popped, a certain type of ball comes out, which can be used to attack enemies. Each level is completed when you collect a certain amount of keys and open the door at the end.
In this run, the author, FFGamer86, uses a glitch to transport a key from one bubble to another, a trick nearly impossible to execute in real time. To see the other tricks he used, please see the author's notes.

When played at full speed, Super Bomberman 2 is a straightforward action game, but if it's played in slow motion, it becomes an extremely tactical puzzle game. The author of this movie uses several tactics that are difficult to understand if one is watching the movie at full speed. These include setting up chain reactions and clearing up the end of the level before even reaching it. To get a better grasp of the techniques used, read the author's comments.
This is an improvement of exactly 2 minutes and 19 seconds over the predecessor movie. Most of the time is saved from lag management, new tricks and better strategy.

Mario's doctor heard about the "Magic Mushrooms" which make Mario grow to twice his normal size and let him break bricks. Fearing for Mario's health, he orders Mario to avoid those nasty powerups.
This run aims to complete as many exits as possible without collecting any permanent powerups, including Mushrooms, Fire flowers, Feathers, Switch Palace blocks. Unable to fly, Mario is forced to confront most obstacles and overcome them in unique ways. Riding Yoshi is also banned. 86 out of the total 96 exits are completed.
In this run, the author, PangaeaPanga, saves 01:32.43 over the previous movie by using better paths, new tricks, and lag reduction. For a level by level analysis of the improvements, please see the author's notes.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is a vibrant, colorful and fun game that stars the popular Yoshi. From a technical standpoint, the game is very exceptional on the SNES due to its use of the SuperFX chip, which allows for many cool special effects that are otherwise impossible on the SNES.
This movie by Carl_Sagan (no, not that Carl Sagan) is fast-paced, action-packed, and full of entertaining tricks and maneuvers. In other words, the very essence we tool-assisted speedrun makers enjoy. It also improves the previous run of this game by over 5 minutes. For more details, we recommend reading the author's comments; there's a lot more to this movie than meets the eye.

This Tetris Attack movie aims to get the highest score in the shortest amount of time possible. The result is obtained by executing multiple combos simultaneously, building them up to level 13. Combo bonuses are no longer awarded after getting 13 consecutively due to a bug in the game.
The level of play is far and above what any human could do in real-time on this game.
This is an improvement of 00:07.88 over the previous movie by the same author, zvsp. He does this primarily by starting each chain with one explosion. That way, he can explode the saved blocks during the chain, which, thanks to a glitch, gets him around 25000 points for every 13x chain. This allows him to beat the game in four chains instead of the previous five.

This movie was played on Panel De Pon, the Japanese version of Tetris Attack.
The only difference in gameplay between the two versions is how the scoring system works. Instead of doing many combos in a chain as in the US version movie, author zvsp uses a few very large combos to reach the goal about 30 seconds faster, finishing with an ingame time of 0'25.

Trials of Mana is a RPG about your typical ragtag group of young adventurers that totally lack any survival instinct; at least that'd explain why they never bother to get any protective gear. Our three chosen champions of goodness are tasked with rescuing the eight elemental spirits from the clutches of evil and using their power to save the world. Though it turns out that nobody is able to count as we find in fact nine spirits...
Long referred to as "Seiken Densetsu 3" by fans, the game was finally given an official title in June 2019.
We recommend reading the author's notes; they contain a lot of very good information.

The provided MP4s and YouTube stream feature subtitles, allowing those of us who don't speak Japanese to figure out what's going on.

It's the X-Men, and they're out to stop Magneto and whomever else is bad.
This game stars five of the X-men: Cyclops, Wolverine, Gambit, Beast, and Psylocke. (Professor X is probably coaching them from a safe place, like he always does.) Each member has their own level to complete, but anyone can be chosen to play the remaining levels. The author primarily uses Beast for his power, though Psylocke is chosen in one stage. Watch as Mega Man takes on the latest set of Robot Masters and everyone's favorite mad roboticist for the tenth time in the classic series.
This run is played on normal difficulty (the highest available with no prior save data) and, amongst other feats, takes no damage at all (Mr. Perfect achievement), kills one of every enemy (World Warrior achievement), and manipulates more extra lives and large power-ups than you've probably ever seen before in a single playthrough. The final in-game time is 20:04.
In a fit of cosmic irony, this publication, which is the first for a current set-top console, is of a game deliberately designed to be a throwback to the NES days.
