Entirely unrelated to the TV series seaQuest DSV, Seaquest is a submarine combat game in which you control a water vessel and must pick up divers at different levels of depth while avoiding fish and enemy subs. While most of the game takes place underwater, you also must resurface for air from time to time so your air meter doesn't run out.
Like Tetris, the game ends when the score reaches the maximum 999999. Watch as Lobsterzelda torpedoes 90 levels-worth of submarines and rescues as many divers in record time.
This movie is actually 15:22.17 minutes slower than the movie it obsoletes, but does not use emulation glitches as the previous movie does to quickly reach maximum score. "Astro-PANIC!" is a fast-paced, high-speed, all-machine-language game. The object is to defend your cannon, maneuvering it left and right as alien saucers dodge and dive in a relentless attack. - description in COMPUTE!'s Gazette Issue #8

In each level, you must collect a certain number of these diamonds in order to open a portal to the next stage. Enemies can be squashed by falling boulders, which are released when the ground below them is removed or they are pushed onto empty ground. Be careful, though, because these can also squash you. In later levels, difficulty is increased by many puzzle elements and shorter time limits.

Boppin' is a puzzle game developed by Accursed Toys and published by Apogee from 1994. The heroes, Yeet and Boik, notice one day that their arcade games have no monsters, and find out that Hunnybunz has taken them all away in his attempt to create a pure, anodyne world free of anything that could be perceived as controversial. Yeet and Boik set off to free these monsters at the behest of other video game heroes, because what else would they do if there was nothing to fight against?
This game was somewhat controversial in its time. The original version had disturbing animations when the players got a game over, but later versions had to have them activated by a command line parameter. Boppin' is also known for its bizarre imagery and its numerous religious and political references.

Unlike the main games in the franchise, Altaïr's Chronicles is not an open-world game but rather a hybrid action-platformer - some sections play similarly to games in the Prince of Persia series where the player must do careful platforming and deal with traps and hazards, while other sections are more like the main games and feature fighting, stealth, and assassinations.

Completing each level involves climbing ladders and moving blocks so that each enemy can be defeated. A rewind function is present for trail+error attempts to get to the solutions. But that feature isn't needed here.

Pokémon Gold and Silver form the second generation of Pokémon, after Pokémon Red and Blue. The main differences between the generations is that the game is now in full color, and that there are 251 Pokémon instead of 151.
CasualPokePlayer employs a staggering amount of luck manipulation and extremely careful routing (accomplished using the RouteTwo program) in order to improve upon the previous movie by 00:35.50 seconds. Only a few Pokémon are collected in this run, but all gym badges are acquired before defeating the protagonist of the previous generation of Pokémon games.

Pokémon: Yellow Version is part of the first generation of games within its famous series, known for having a very large number of beneficial glitches. In fact, the games can be completed in less than one minute of in-game time by save data corruption as shown by this run, and completed in around 10 minutes using a more "conventional" glitch, as shown by this run. These runs break the game, and avoid much of the gameplay intended by the developers.
In contrast, this run by TiKevin83 refrains from using any memory corrupting glitches and beats the game in a little over an hour and half. The Pokédoll trick is used to skip a dungeon in the game, but that is considered a minor developer oversight and does not corrupt the memory.

Winnie the Pooh: Adventures in the 100 Acre Wood is an adventure game developed by NewKidCo and published by NewKidCo and Disney Interactive. It was released in North America in April 2000 for the Game Boy Color.
The game follows Winnie the Pooh as he interacts with other characters in the wood. Most of the game uses a board game structure, where the player rolls a dice and draws cards to move around on the map in an attempt to explore the wood. The game is aimed at a younger demographic and was designed to be simple. It was the first Winnie the Pooh game to be released on a video game console.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles is an action role playing game developed by The Game Designers Studio and published by Square Enix in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube. This was the first Final Fantasy game to include real-time fighting, which has since become a staple of Final Fantasy games.
You control a caravan and its members, and travel in a hostile world with dungeons and monsters. You collect drops of Myrrh to protect your village, and go on a quest to find and destroy the source of the miasma that corrupts the world.
Wobmiar further improves on their previous movie's record by by opting not to craft the Master's weapon early on and instead go for the Valiant Weapon, which saves some item farming time and allows the first trip to Marr's Pass to be completely skipped.

Note that this movie was done on a newer version of Dolphin (than the previous run) that has longer and more accurate load times. As a result, this movie's time appears to be slower than the previous run, but is actually faster when load times are discounted.

Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. fighting game series is rather different from your typical fighting game. Instead of wearing your opponent's health down to 0, you must knock him or her out of the battlefield. Damage counts upwards, with knockback from attacks that hit you becoming more severe as your damage increases. Fighting controls are also simplified, making it very easy for even your non-gaming friends to pick up and play.
Super Smash Bros. Melee offers fighters from the wealth of Nintendo characters like Mario, Bowser, different Pokémon, Link, and Kirby. They can either fight through the single-player modes like Classic, Adventure, and Event Mode, or they battle it out against other characters in a four-player frenzy.
Additional characters and stages are unlocked as hidden objectives are met, and coins rewarded for playing in all modes can be spent on a capsule toy machine. The toys in the machine represent games from Nintendo's entire video game history, and each can be viewed in 3D with a brief description.
This time, PracticalTAS plays through the All-Star Mode (which gets unlocked after unlocking every character) as Luigi, whilst not dealing any damage to the opponents in the process.

The alien armada is closing in on your Mother Ship. You're awesomely outnumbered, and they attack and attack... In Space Battle, the player is put in command of three fighter squadrons, tasked with protecting their mothership from an alien aggressor. The game has two modes that the player can switch between: a "situation map" where the player sends their own fighters to intercept alien squadrons, and a battle screen that allows the player to fight the enemy directly by destroying their ships with lasers.
While the player can only engage in battle with one squadron at a time, the player's other squadrons will engage with the enemy in real time, via a simple AI. In this run, Winslinator defeats the alien armada in record time by deft control of the battle screen, allowing the blue and white player squadron to destroy their targets quickly, then manipulating luck such that the AI proceeds to defeat all of the remaining enemy fleet.
As a fun side-note on the development of this game: the alien invaders are clearly designed after the Cylon Raiders from the original Battlestar Galactica. One of Mattel's subsidiary companies had rights to produce Battlestar Galactica toys, but it was discovered late into development of this game that Mattel itself did not get the rights to the name, so this game had its name changed to Space Battle but still featured the not-Cylon sprites.

The "no levels early" category restricts the player from utilizing glitches to enter levels or lobbies (level hubs) earlier than intended, but does not restrict the player from using glitches everywhere else. Thus this category allows for a highly-glitched run where most of the game is still played rather than skipped.

The game introduces Chocobos and an activity-based progression system, in which the characters' statistics increase depending on how they are used or acquired.

Final Fantasy III was the second of two Final Fantasy NES games to be released only in Japan, leading to the fourth game in the series being released to the rest of the world as Final Fantasy II. The game brings back the experience point system from the first game while changing up the character jobs formula by allowing the player to change a character's class mid-game as well as acquire new and advanced classes.
In this movie, the author, naruko, abuses a bug that causes character inventory to overflow, corrupting the game's memory and triggering the credits early.
This is an improvement of 00:29.22 seconds.

This is a platform beat 'em up based on the anime series Hokuto no Ken. According to the manual, Kenshirou, the main character, has to save the people from the evil Emperor Heaven. The game itself, however, features no story whatsoever, but a lot of platform action instead. You have to run quickly through the levels (there is a time limit), punching and kicking your enemies, causing them to fly away or to explode. Occasionally you will meet a boss, visit secret areas behind doors and collect various power-ups.
Lucky Bacon improves the previous movie by 1 minute and 12.82 seconds. Please read the author's comments for more details.
There is also a run of the precursor to this game.

Galf is a homebrew NES title from 2017. It originated as a mini-game featured in Golf Story for Nintendo Switch, where the player can play a retro style golf game. A limited release of Galf for NES was released by Limited Run Games, around the same time Golf Story had a physical release.
The game has 9 holes in total, with one of those holes being exclusive to the NES version. The Gameplay is similar to NES Golf with the only different being no view of the golfer themself.
