Aladdin 2000 is an unlicensed SNES port of Aladdin for the Sega Genesis, complete with music stolen from the official SNES version of Aladdin. The gameplay is effectively the same as it is in the Sega Genesis game, but with the typical qualities that come with bootlegs such as choppy framerates, odd animations, and an ending that leaves a lot to the imagination.
In this run, TheAmazingAladdin decides to live up to their name and beat the game in record time.

Arcana is a role-playing game from HAL Laboratory, the studio behind franchises such as Kirby and Super Smash Bros. In this first-person dungeon crawling game, you play as a wizard named Rooks, who is the last of the Card Masters, an order of wizards who use special cards that have tremendous magical power in them. An evil magician by the name of Galneon threatens the world by threatening to release the evil goddess Rimsalia and has killed all those who opposed him, including most of the Card Masters. Rooks must now go on a quest to stop Galneon and Rimsalia before they destroy the world.
Jiseed utilizes large amounts of RNG manipulation for this run to complete the game as fast as possible. Unlike most other games, the battle RNG is most often not determined by what was inputted by a controller during a frame, but by the actions taken in previous frames. This kind of RNG along with the traditional input-based RNG made for a difficult RPG to TAS.

Christmas Craze is a Christmas-themed homebrew platformer created for the SNES that looks similar to Mario Bros. Aliens have stolen Christmas presents in a city that were meant for children and hid them in the city park, probably for safekeeping, as they plan to escape the planet with them. Santa's little helpers now have to get the presents back so that they go back to under the trees of all the city children who behaved well. In addition to a one player mode that follows this story, there is also a competitive two player mode where the one that gets the most presents wins.

Drakkhen is a role-playing game that was originally developed for the Amiga and the Atari ST by Infogrames. An innovative game at the time, it featured an open world that can be explored from a 3D perspective. During the process of being developed for the SNES by Kemco, the story was heavily altered by mistake due to a botched translation job. The original story involves four people who got shipwrecked on the island ruled by the Drakkhen, a race of lizard people that threaten to take over the world. In order to take back the island and save humanity, the four heroes must find the nine gem tears in order to summon the Dragon God that will help them.
In this run, ShesChardcore takes a carefully planned route that, along with a heaping amount of RNG manipulation, minimizes enemy encounters and completes the game as fast as possible. To minimize lag, two of the four player characters are killed off by monsters. For more details, you can read the author's notes here.

EarthBound is a great RPG, designed by Shigesato Itoi in 1994-1995, and is also known by the name Mother 2.
It is best described as "random", in a good way. The game has a great emphasis on a humor, and indeed many things in the game are almost caricatured, from subplots to characters. It also has a versatile soundtrack.
Although this being a speedrun (tool-assisted at that), most of the plot of the game is intact, making this movie very entertaining to watch even as a TAS.
Unlike the previous "in bounds" movie, which aimed for a glitchless route, this TAS does incorporate some glitches while never using any that put the player out of bounds.

F-Zero is a futuristic racing video game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the SNES in 1990.
The game is normally played by selecting one of three leagues, known as Knight, Queen, and King leagues. This TAS plays through all three leagues. Each race, aside from the final ones in each league, are finished after entering in 2nd place to skip the winning animation, because of this, there is an alternate encode provided that shows each race ending in 1st place, to achieve the fastest in game time.

Goof Troop ST (ST standing for "Space Treasure") is a ROM hack of the SNES classic Disney's Goof Troop. Much like the original game, it features puzzle solving stages as the characters play as either Goofy or Max, who can throw items at enemies, kick star blocks, and use grappling hooks whenever they need to go across large gaps.
The story of this hack is that Goofy and Max need to return back to the island from the original game in order to obtain a secret treasure, which is rumored to have come from outer space. Goof and Max must get the treasure before the pirates do.
Le Hulk uses both players to obtain the Space Treasure in record time.

Hook, based on a movie of the same name, is a somewhat slow platformer game about small boys in tights killing pirates. Awesome!
The movie has just enough action to make it entertaining. Thankfully, there are many parts in the game where the player is forced to fly using fairy dust. The flying breaks up the normal pace of the game nicely.
