Tomarc the Barbarian is an action game where Tomarc the Barbarian must rescue Senta from a cave she got herself lost in. Senta also managed to get herself kidnapped and is imprisoned in a cage that can be opened by Tomarc's sword. Unfortunately, Tomarc lost his sword in the same cave, so he must now find his sword and rescue Senta before the cave bats eat her alive. Special to this Atari 2600 is the ability to switch between two characters to control, Tomarc and Senta, and both characters continue to be affected by their environments even when you're not controlling them. While Tomarc is used to find the sword to rescue Senta, Senta herself is controlled to fend off the bats that are trying to kill her.
DrD2k9 decides not to go through all that trouble in this run by using a good amount of RNG manipulation to get a cave layout that requires the least amount of movement needed and controlling only Tormac to get the sword and rescue Senta as fast as possible.

Unlike the main games in the franchise, Altaïr's Chronicles is not an open-world game but rather a hybrid action-platformer - some sections play similarly to games in the Prince of Persia series where the player must do careful platforming and deal with traps and hazards, while other sections are more like the main games and feature fighting, stealth, and assassinations.

Duke Nukem 64 (1997) is a classic PC shooter ported to Nintendo 64 — unfortunately, in a heavily censored state, and without much concern for the game's performance.
As such, the movie is played on the easiest level in an attempt to reduce the framerate drop issues arising from big amounts of enemies shooting at Duke. However, the sheer speed the player is blasting through levels will likely confuse you regardless — we recommend reading the author's comments to understand all the tricks he used.

In River City Ransom, Alex and Ryan face off against gangs of students and evil bosses to win their town back and rescue their girlfriends. Several bosses need to be found and beaten before you can enter River City High and beat up the final bad guys (including an obvious imitation of the Double Dragon heroes). The gameplay also has elements of an RPG, where you can level up your character with shop purchases, but none of that is done here.
A glitch that is abused often in this run, pressing Left and Right at the same time, causes the player character to do all sorts of crazy things and usually lose all of his power. This is done to reduce lag during running segments and abuse collision detection.
This run obsoletes the previous one by nearly a minute due to much more optimization of boss fights and some new tricks. Weapons are also used more, so expect to see some chains and trash cans!

The run uses 008 (Pyunma) and 005 (Geronimo) most of the time. 008 can jump forward quickly and swim in water, while 005 does heavy damage to bosses. Various power-ups are collected to level-up 009 (Joe) due to an event near the end of the game.
