First, follow the Windows 3.11 install instructions in its tab, and export the hard drive at the end.
Load this XML (or this one? I forget) in BizHawk, then play this movie to set up the game. Remember to export the resulting HDD at the end.
This movie does the following:
- Install FMSynth to play MIDI correctly
- Set screen resolution to 640x480, same color depth - 64K
- Run Pool Champion's setup.exe
- Typical install (some crucial files still remain on the CD)
- Install or upgrade Win32s
- Open the game and set option to skip intro automatically
- Set it to hide MIDI errors, which are erroneous since FMSynth fixed MIDI, as it can be heard ingame
- Close Windows session, so it will highlight the game's File Manager shortcut on next boot
Export it as pool.hdd, and you can load this XML to play the game. (Or change the XML's path to your .hdd's filename.) It's required to load the game disc to access some files to prevent fatal errors, at least on W3.11.
