Hello, I've decided to do a Speedrun, and I am using FCEU. (fceu-0.98.12-blip.win) But the movie-file desync's every time, when I play it. So, what could be the problem?

Dont load savestates that were saved AFTER the current point you are in the movie, always load states saved before, or else it WILL desync for sure. Thats the only way i can make it desync for sure.

yes, but imagine this you save state 1, then save state 2. if you load state 1, you cant load state 2 because that was saved between saving state #1 and loading state #1

What game are you trying? Is the desync always happening in the same spot, or does it change? What is happening before it desyncs? Does the character just not react like he did before (jumps earlier or later for example), or is there an enemy or platform in a different location?

I am trying to record "Mega Man". The point where the movie/game desync is different every time. My PC got 3000 Mhz and 1028 MB DDR-Ram. I can't find the problem.

The name of the rom is "Mega Man (E) [!].nes", it's a good dump, and it's 100% OK. I don't change any settings in the emulator - but I tested the auto-fire function from FCEU. It's bad too, I read, that I have to turn off the sound, to enable it. But's that not the biggest problem, we are talking about the desync in here. :) OK, something more, you need to know?

First of all, is there any reason you are using the European rom? it works at a different speed than U and J, so unless you have a good reason, use the U or J instead. Second of all, i dont know what is causing the desync :) Does it desync always when playing the same movie or you try several different movies?

There is no reason, I use the E-rom, I should try the U-rom, next time. I live in Germany, so I use PAL games most, when possible. The desync is not only in this game, it's at many/every game, I want to re-/record. :(

It's been a month. Are you still having the same problem?
