Sorry. Got my notes wrong. Something like this: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/download/35342506771892646 Is what I should've provided/mentioned instead. (PAL Version, Hawk 1.11.6. Should sync on 1.11.8.2) Bit lazy on the input I provided.

Edit: Oh, and what do you mean about sliding on the edges?
In the running from Boulder/Bear sections. You're able to slide on the little lip to get distance better, but I don't recall if it's a benefit or not. It is less entertaining than no-GO but...

You mean: http://forum.pj64-emu.com/showthread.php?t=3739 or http://forum.pj64-emu.com/showthread.php?t=4422 Right? (Note: I'm referring to every other TAS emulator that requires soft)

Pretty sure that's a visual glitch cause by the core towards the end of Level 1... not to sure since I don't have my copy of the game on hand anymore. mutes speakers on level 2 Yup. Pretty solid. I'm glad that you did take my advice that I gave you on IRC for all the minor issues that you had in the levels that needed it. I'm very happy that you did go with what I wrote about damage abusing on Dingodile instead of outright avoiding the abuse. Just not entertaining from my point of view. Which is sad. So far so solid. Keep it up for Warp 2!

Skipping the opening Cortex was eh... there are other workarounds in a voiding it, such as jump+spinning+triangle. Entering first level seems slow. Lack of wiggling. Warp Room 1 is better to go in order... with that let's see 5. Sliding along the edges might be faster than going through the level without using it. (No one has confirmed/denied this) OH GOD IT'S GAME OVER ABUSE! Use the PAL version for Crash 2. It's faster in terms of movement for the long run compared to the NTSC version.

No, as you didn't use your eyes, for the same reasonings he has used over the years. Here's the TVC encode, if you for some reason couldn't find it somehow: Link to video

GB > Settings... Palette... "Default CGB" for the Grey palette. If you selected "Load" goto where it starts with "GBC" and you select the palette of what a normal GBC would use.

Looks at the Image Looks at the Script Looks at the Image Looks at the Script Looks at the Image Looks at the Script sighs Replace line 1 with this:
Language: avisynth

LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\dedup\DeDup.dll")
Spikestuff wrote:
It's because you don't have DeDup in the specified location which you provided.
The location you actually placed the dll is within the subfolder of the plugin directory. Which isn't part of the intended path. This is the reason why it failed. Another way to bypass the entire "LoadPlugin" (Once you get this to work) is to place the dll file into the plugin folder without placing a subfolder into the mix and deleting the first line of the script.

It's because you don't have DeDup in the specified location which you provided. DeDup: http://akuvian.org/src/avisynth/dedup/ I modified the script a bit (with a bow) so it shouldn't encounter any future issues, after solving your first one: http://pastebin.com/dEb83tPU

I'm going to write this is mainly because of a language barrier thing. But I don't think it was meant to be branched as "hack%". I got concerned due to this, thinking that the Author was deliberately using something like a bad ROM or cheats. I didn't want to actually view this TAS until I got pings about it. I'm gonna go ahead and give it a Meh vote. But I am concerned on the Difficulty Choice. As I know for a fact the only difference is the amount of damage you can take from enemies and actually give back. Possibly lowing difficulty to reach new areas, but whatever.

Thanks everyone for their thoughts on this TAS. I knew from the start that it had a much higher chance of being rejected as I was forewarned about it back when I did the 2 player TASes. I still wanted to challenge the odds and instead of using the WIP area for it to be hidden under a rug to throw it up and see if it had such a chance. Great thing to have still even when rejected as it will be used as a whatnot and challenge others who would've thought of making this run. ❤

Criticisms: Lack of mentioning of the more superior emulator (of the time) PSXjin which does run this game. Lack of anything regarding the setup for pcsx-rr since this is one of the more annoying emulators to deal with. Lack of creating your own level by level comparison and relying on someone else to do it (Which you held for a year). I'll bring more later, 'cause I am going to check a bit more.

I had to check this side by side with the current publication. What you did do is considered as an actual improvement at 25m. Which forces 100m to act differently due to this. You're not at an emulation fault that you think your are. You did everything correctly. This TAS is fine, I'm giving it a solid Meh.

I'm voting Meh, also providing an Encode. The biggest question I have for this TAS is that you have downtime. During that downtime is it possible to actually manipulate anything or to create entertainment whilst waiting for the doom of the computer player? Quack: Link to video

Considering that the NES version has no limit as to how far you can go. No.

Just out of curiosity, could Mesen be ported over to BizHawk at some point? I know it would probably be a lot of work but it would be great to test using the advanced TASing capabilities of BizHawk
No. Because Alyosha put his time to made Hawk the other Most Accurate TASing emulator for NES and is currently going through each and every detail to make it better (which you do know about).

We (of the irc) actually do know about this emulator already for some time now, infact I posted on the bug reports on this emulator already (when it was on bitbucket not github).
Weegeechan wrote:
I should also point out that it currently has no TASing features implemented into it but I wouldn't be surprised if they are put in later.
I should point out that this statement is false and indeed actually does have some TAS features, the lowest of low, but it does have the core basics in already.

Aww, that's actually a very nice edit that you have done to this TAS. You're very kind about adding that Hetfield.
