Thank you to everyone who took the time to take a look at my submission and gave me feedback. I really appreciate it and can say that I learned a whole lot. I look forward to TASing more stuff in the future :D

Untested thought regarding Freestyle (don't have time to test at the moment): Would pumping the character between tricks to gain speed then do a plant trick to turn around be faster than what's presented here? The plant tricks wouldn't jump, but may be a longer trick than these simple turns, but perhaps the added speed (if it actually speeds up the character) might make up for the longer trick and yield a shorter session.
I considered this too when I was making it. When I tested it with the foot plant trick, which is the quick turn around that hops off the edge, it was 4.55 seconds slower. The other trick that doesn't get air is the hand plant and it was even slower.

Thinking of it this way, it seems we either have 2 out of 5 events designed for high score or 3 out of 5 events designed for speed. Would the best run be one that aims for high score on the first 2 and speed on the next 3? I'm not sure how switching goals in the middle of the run would be any better than a run where 2/5ths of it is essentially waiting for the event to end.

This should be tagged "easiest difficulty" since you're jousting against Pete instead of Lester. And since you're luck-manipulating, I wonder if Lester can't be manipulated in the same way?
Lester waits until you are on his side of the pool to drop down and ends up behind you when you get the jousting pole on the 5th pass. The only way I found I can change his position that drastically is by stopping at the lip and waiting for him to catch up, which would make my 5 passes take longer.

Out of curiosity I made a TAS for Skate or Die after nabbing the RTA WR. If you are unfamiliar with the game, it's a short run clocking in at 2:18. My TAS only improved the time about 2 seconds. Is this a game that warrants submission? It's pretty boring and short so I'm not sure if anyone really cares.

Don't know the differences (probably doesn't have any), but you could compare to the N64 TAS that exists of this game which is the predecessor if I'm not mistaken.
Not sure about the movement mechanics but the tracks are different in the PSX version. PSX version has 7 levels where the N64 version has 6 levels. Maybe the TAS just didn't unlock the 7th. All of the levels have slight differences, but the Ultra level (last level) on PSX is completely unique. Thanks for posting, I saw that it exists but had not checked it out yet. It's definitely a lot more entertaining than mine, but since I am really just starting to learn the program and this is my first full TAS I am focusing on speed and skips.

Hello! In the past I have messed around with TAStudio and have done a very short project. I am wanting to stretch my legs and decided to TAS Irritating Stick after seeing it at GDQx. I have completed the first 3 levels so far. I provided my TAStudio files via google drive, and if I need to do this another way I can change it. Just looking for any sort of feedback before I get too much further. For this TAS I am looking for obstacle skips and optimizing the movement to take the shortest and tightest paths through the tracks. I have had to go back multiple times to optimize my turns in order to accomplish some of these first cycle obstacle skips. It has been quite a lot of fun and challenging to learn how to use the analog stick in TAStudio.
