I hope to finish the run with glitchman http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/download/27991810661553675 Maybe it is not that perfect。But the fastest!
I am expecting the final version, which will be the real fastest. Good luck! I vote Meh

The three items, Wire, Jet and Balloon, were perfect to use. I believed that this run was worthy of a star. Now is a moon, I don't understand! Very good job, Tiancaiwhr!

Does tianwodeai plan on making the final TAS now?
I have wait for this finished version for a long time. I planed to make a no damage, 100p collection TAS. But this version has more settings, I decide to make a hard mode, critical damage allowed, taking no damage, 100% collection TAS, using glitches and skills to make the new play more interesting.

Whoever created this most awesome hack definitely has vivid imagination. I especially liked the design of Pharaoh Man and Drill Man stage. His design particularly in Pharaoh Man was much more fascinating than in Mega Man 4. This run was a big surprise to me as I don't reminisce seeing this hack before. I do think it was a highly entertaining run. Perhaps enough exciting to warrant a star, but I do not understand why you must remove a star from a previous Mega Man game to give it to this one. Nevertheless, very good job tianwodeai. I hope your next run will be improving the current Mega man 4 tas.
The current Mega man 4 tas will be improved by tiancaiwhr. he has finished about 4 stages with a new route and more glitches used. I believe he will show you another surprise.

I didn't vote because I'd like to see this run done with the new version (0.02) which includes Hard Mode :) Link to video https://sites.google.com/site/rockman4mi/home Updates & Info from site: This updated version includes an extensive configuration menu, including Hard Mode and some other difficulty options. It also contains the secret fight from the leaked patch a few months ago, a speedrun mode, and a few more minor changes.
Defeat this new boss is just the same to defeat Wily's UFO, choose WATER CUTTER, give several of critical damages. Maybe in the new version, this boss-battle will be skipped with HELL WHEEL glitch because the boss' energy is too thick.

Now we're talking! This is what I mean when I say "when the current movie gets obsoleted, the new one would finally be a clear Star content". And somehow... now I feel a Star is just not enough to represent what this movie does. NES TAS of the year, ladies and gentlemen. And possibly what would replace MM2 in the Newcomer Corner. And take MM5's Star.
Thanks for your praise. Indeed I did a good job this time, vain for almost a year to complete this.

Isn't this submission a little out of date? Version 0.02 has been out since January, which includes Hard Mode and an additional boss battle with Shadow Man. That's the run I'm hoping to see.
I did this since one year ago. When V0.02 came, I had nearly finished this movie. So I decided to complete this movie first.

A very good job! The glitch makes Area 8 a little short. Yes vote.

Sorry, no vote. Only use Buster without any glitches makes this run too ordinary, even boring at the boss of Wily 1 stage. Maybe add more performances will be better.

Yes vote. This game looks very difficult if someone plays it for the first time, but the movie gives us the nearest way to complete a level. What a good job, of course it should be published.

Voted yes. (Late.) I'm a big fan of this hack and I thought the TAS used the Wire and the Hell Wheel to their fullest, which is pretty much what I was looking for. I remember playing this game and thinking to myself that those two items were going to make for a spectacular TAS someday. I can't help but think that this romhack either introduced new glitches, or made previously obscure glitches in MM4 more useful. Minus Infinity and Super Demo World are the two most extensive rom hacks I've ever seen, and SDW (and SMW) are very broken. I can't help but think there's a place to save a minute with Rush Jet by clipping into a wall. But I can't find the improvement, so it's not grounds for rejection. I just feel like Mega Man games ought to be more broken on tasvideos.org.
Maybe there are other useful bugs in this rom hack, but the three RUSHes can not help Megaman clip into a wall( maybe balloon and wire can). When the next version complete, I will try to do a better job, audiences can watch more interesting things.

What did I just watch? Incredible hack, really entertaining! I demand a full hero score run now :)
Maybe it is impossible, because to collect all hiden tools, I have to sacrifice a friend.
so, don't turn him into an item
Anyway,I can not get a full hero score.

Oh, yeah, the ending. It looked very odd and unexpected (get rid of all but 1 HP), I loved it here.
To tell the truth, I am considering to modify the end to take no damages.

Ehh... Should I be honest? The movie was well made, but... I didn't like watching Skull Man's stage (I blame the constant charging with the Mega Buster) and the balloon/jet section of Cossack 1 (too many missed shots). I also don't like how the movie ends while you still have control of Mega Man (in my opinion, it should end as soon as the life bar and the timer disappear). In the end, I give it a Yes vote, but it's not a strong one, for the reasons mentioned above.
Thanks for giving me a Yes vote. Considering your advises, I'd adjust my further performance accordingly.

I'm having trouble applying the patch for this hack. Most patches I've seen use an .ips file, but this one has a whole folder of stuff. Since I don't read Japanese, I don't understand the messages the executables spit out when I try running them. Also, there seem to be two versions: MMC3 and MMC5. Which one does this movie use? EDIT: When I downloaded the submission file, it said MMC5. My mistake.
MMC3 applies to VNES emulator, MMC5 applies to FCEU or FCEUX. So this movie used the second one. And please ensure that your rom is the newest one.

Congratulations on your first submission here, well done. I'd love to see another hack of Rockman get published. Yet I have a question, why did you aim to reach the fastest time but without getting hurt, while getting hurt could save time? Would getting hurt decrease the entertainment value or something? Thanks.
I also would like to see my effort accepted by so many seniors. The run aims to reach the fastest , but to save time ,I take damages. If I try to avoid the enemies or kill them ,more time will be wasted. But death will waste much more time, so calculating the damages is also necessary.I have added the tip ,take damages to save time, into the comments.

From submission text: "This run aims to reach the fastest but not no getting hurts." Did you mean no death (I saw plenty of damage while watching the run on fast forward while dumping)? Would abusing death even save time?

Do you expect the movie to be published? Is my movie boring?
It was not boring AT ALL. I love this game and think even a slightly suboptimal TAS of it will be very interesting. I have a question: I saw many missed shots in a flight level. Were they of any use?
I didn't record the movie frame by frame sometimes (skullman and C1 stage), but it had no influence to the process. Maybe I am not very rigorous. (^.^)
