looks like you got a lot of programs running in the background, did you try stopping all of those programs and then try loading it?

I've had this problem before. Here's what you do. Right click and maximize it.

I'll tell you what the problem is. I don't know what makes this problem occur but occasionally when you open snes9x, it has actually opened, but the entire window is off-screen. Like it has been dragged off. If maximize didn't work. Try Right click and move out back to the centre of the screen. EDIT: It seems you edited your post before I posted, does this mean your problem is no longer?

To open SNES9x you'll need SCREWDRIVER9x

If both the movie rom and your rom aren't the same, you'll see.

Wrong ROM version: Perhaps, when you open the .smv file, the emulator should tell you whether you have the right rom or not (if not, it will say MISMATCH). You could also have accidently turned off some BG layers. Turn them back on (check the emulator hotkeys). Also check your display settings for anything irregular. I know settings differ from system to system, but these are mine: Video Memory - Unticked Render 16-bit, Transparency, Hi-Res - Ticked Bi-Linear Mode 7, Extend Height - Unticked Output Image Processing - Normal Also, what version of snes9x are you running?

I can understand you fine. I'm almost positive that you have a bad ROM. I'm not completely sure though. Please don't ask where to get the ROM because someone will get very angry.
