Recently had to reformat and redownload a lot of tools I was using. So far: Following the instructions on EmulatorResources/MakingAVI/FCEU/Windows: - Installed H.264. - Installed ffdshow. - Installed VLC. - Configured ffdshow to use h264 Lossless. However: - FCEUX says "Error creating AVI." and closes immediately. - VBA will not report any errors and writes a 0KB AVI file - VLC gives a billion errors regarding libvlc.dll, but plays videos fine. I have no idea what in the hell is going wrong nor how to fix it. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm going to attempt to reinstall the components again, since it's entirely possible something somewhere went wrong.

Try "x264 - H264/AVC encoder" as the compressor instead of ffdshow. That fixed everything for me using VBA 19.3 (haven't tried FCEUX under Windows so far). Remember to set the quantizer to 0 for a lossless video.

Try using the x264vfw: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/x264_Video_Codec.htm works for me in 3 different emus (mupen, vba and fceux) I have used on a clean install I did yesterday.

It works fine if I select x.264 instead of ffdshow, but eh. I'll try installing that soon.
