Stage comments

Stage 1-1: Basement

Besides some minor improved jumps, lag optimization and damage boosting from the second spider, a new huge shortcut was found,

Stage 1-2: Drain pipes

This stage begins with some manipulation to get the water and the snail on the next floor acting reasonably. When I was getting close to the end, I discovered that Jerry was secretly the Prince of Persia in disguise, and could walk on the ceiling over everything. This meant that I had to do everything over again so I could take damage from the spider in 1-1.

Stage 1-3: Sink

Saving some time by managing to hit Tom twice during the first jump.

Stage 2-1: Kitchen

I'm crashing through the floor using a bug. When you're exactly 1 pixel below the floor and holding the cord, and press down, the game assumes that the floor is on the next row, 8 pixels too far down, and tries to land Jerry there. This sends him plummeting down through the next floor.

Stage 2-2: Tree

Nothing new here, just better and more daring jumps.

Stage 2-3: Wasp hive

This fight required some acrobatics. Somehow, I managed to hit the platform at the corner so that my throwing animation was interrupted, allowing me to fire another marble immediately.

Stage 3-1: Roof

Okay, I don't know what the author of the old movie was doing playing with that leaf, so I didn't.

Stage 3-2: Chimney

This has some more ceiling-jumping, which helps with avoiding damage.

Stage 3-3: Furnace

Just a few frames saved by smoother firing.

Stage 4-1: Living room

An amazing, impossible jump saves the day. Well, maybe not a day, but at least a few seconds. I don't need to take the cheese either, because of my ceiling-jumping in 3-2.

Stage 4-2: Wall

Apparently, this is Jerry's "home". I guess he at least won't be getting any burglars there. The jumping through the walls is more optimized, and there is a slight route change.

Stage 4-3: Dynamite

I didn't know that they produced dynamite bars in that size. The hits are managed such that the fight ends earlier than before.

Stage 5-1: Bathroom

Jerry isn't some wuss punk like Mickey Mouse, he's a real mouse and isn't afraid to jump from 20cm heights, as always.

Stage 5-2: Attic

Well, here I really don't know what the author of the old movie was thinking. I avoid the strange detours at the start and I also jump from the chain to the beam instead of going below and around it.

Stage 5-3: Showdown

I managed to get in a few more hits in some of the positions Tom appears in.

NesVideoAgent: Hi! I am a robot. I took a few screenshots of this movie and placed them here. Oh! I also corrected the ROM name.
  • You indicated Tom & Jerry (and Tuffy) (U)
  • I updated it to Tom & Jerry (and Tuffy) (U) [!].nes
