Author's comments and explanations:
Here is the all red gem run, for best ending. For those who do not know the difference, the best ending is when 70 red gems are collected. In the end,it shows Alladin, played by the computer, in some of the game levels, while cast names are displayed. It is, imo, a much better ending than showing the same lame Jasmin/Aladdin/Carpet level, all the way to the end.

Objectives

  • Aims for fastest time with all Red gems
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Some luck manipulation

Walkthrough

Lvl 1-1

Gem 1.

You must reach it over the first tents, just before the pogo stick that leads you to the cape. Some small luck manipulation there, to make the "birdpot" appear, since it will not be there if you jumped on the first tent.

Gem 2.

Jumping down gave some lag and the landing was pretty hard on the knees. It was either that or jumping on the pogo stick. I chose the knees. Anyways... Aiming for the cape, i grnd on the tent, keeping my speed around 552fps is better then jumping, at that time, since the distance between me and the gap is too short for a jump. After that i simply reached the second gem which is all the way up.

Gem 3.

Third gem is reach by jumping from the second gem's platform parachuting all the way to the poll then jumping upwards.

Gem 4.

From the third gem, i jump right, reaching for the end of the level but wait.. What do i see? The fourth gem.

Lvl 1-2

Gem 5.

Reached by going upwards then climbing the tower. Hitting the guy with the apple, reduced some lag but not all of it, as you can see. Then i go through him, while he is knocked out, reaching the fifth gem.

Gem 6.

At the end of the level, on the left, is the sixth gem. I found out that turning around with the turbo cape, is not the best way. By using the normal cape for some amount of frames will allow you to reach the highest speed, while turning around.

Lvl 1-3

Gem 7.

This one is easily reached in the air. Nothing here has changed, from the non gem run, exept for the height of the jump.

Gem 8.

Located over the swinging platform but cannot be reached by the platform. I had to climb the tower by some grinding so that i did not have to jump in a straight angle.

Gem 9.

Next, there is a set of 3 swinging platforms, creating much lag. The gem is under the second one. I reached it dropping from high over so that less lag occurs. Then while grinding, i use the forward motion of the platform to boost my speed.

Gem 10.

The last gem, of the first level, is located in the air over the last hole. It cannot be reached without having to climb up a wall.

Lvl 1-4

No gems but 3 frames saved by throwing an apple at the boss.

Lvl 2-1

Gem 1.

The first gem, is in the spikes. The real way, to get the gem, is to grab the spike over the spikes, making it fall into the spikes then you would jump on the spike but i decided to jump in the spikes... Before this, notice i grinded on my way downhill. This allowes me to reach faster speed, earlier.

Gem 2.

The second gem is reached by jumping on the bat. Passing through corners was found around this section.

Gem 3.

To get to the fourth gem, i had to break the bridge. While waiting for it to break, i decided to reach gem 3 that is just above.

Gem 4.

I climbed back from grabbing the fourth gem then i jumped on the next bat to reach the spike leading to the next gem.

Gem 5.

After grabbing the fifth gem i rushed to see Abu to start his "wtf mode". While waiting, i backtracked to the sixth gem.

Gem 6.

I grab the sixth gem on the spike then assist Abu to the end of this level.

Lvl 2-2

Gem 7.

Grabbed by jumping on the second bat.

Gem 8.

After grabbing the eighth gem, there is no way to pass through the spike so i dropped on the log.

Gem 9.

This gem is the only unavoidable one in the non gem run.

Gem 10.

To get to the last gem you must drop in the first hole passed the boulders. I used the cape to cut the corner but sadly, i did not have any spare heart to take damage from the bat.

Lvl 3-1

Not much to say here. I found a little heart glitch.

Lvl 3-2

No Gems but i crashed in the wall at the very end.

Lvl 4-1

Gem 1

For the first gem i noticed that waiting for the genie head, to go up a frame, was faster since i jumped straight on the next head without having to climb it.

Gem 2.

Here, i activated Genie before grabbing the ruby. It's the same thing as Abu's "WTF mode". While they are doing there thing, i grab the jewel.

Gem 3.

I hate to admit, i was not able to reach the gem without swinging on the pole.

Lvl 4-2

Gem 4.

Swinging on poles. Avoiding "BirdPot"

Gem 5.

Grabbed on the way to gem 6.

Gem 6.

Just below gem 5.

Gem 7

Grabbed passing below the stone on the poll.

Lvl 4-3

Gem 8

Notice how faster the beginning of the level is faster than the non-red gem run. The gem is easily reached by jumping in the air.

Gem 9

Around the end of the level, are the two last stones. I have to climb a genie block. Instead of turning around to jump back down, i used the "Climb In Air" glitch. While climbin, i press brackward. This makes Aladdin climb while not touching the block so when he stands up, he is in the air and falls down.

Gem 10

For a stupid reason i have to backtrack to get this gem. Maybe someday i will find a way to pass through the beam

Lvl 5-1

Gem 1

To get the first gem i go upwards, by jumping on the snake heads. After taking the stone, in the square i use the corner glitch to boost my speed.

Gem 2

Heading to the next gem, i realized the sand stream causes a slowdown. This slowdown can be avoided. If the stream is going the opposite direction, it creates a boost.

Gem 3

I use the chain to swing on the platform. With luck, i arrived just at the right time to jump high enough. I backtrack, grab the gem and up to the next.

Gem 4

To get to gem 4 you just go the opposite direction of gem 3, staying on the snake heads.

Gem 5

Right, next to gem 4, is gem 5. To reach it i use the chain to swing instead of climbing.

Gem 6

Using the corner glitch, i boost to grab gem 6. Then i use the sand stream boost and slide to the end of the level

Lvl 5-2

mmbossman: I agree with many of the responses in the thread; this run provides a lot more variety and chances for exhibition of acrobatics than the previous version. However, I believe that the general content of both this and the any% run are too similar to be published alongside each other. To use a poor metaphor, they're both the same meal, and this version simply adds a little more spice. I'm accepting this run as a "good ending" version of the game, to obsolete the current "any %" run.
