Author's comments and explanations:
This is a decent port of the game (unlike the terrible NES version...)

  • Jumped straight through most guards. This saves a lot of time.
  • Skipped getting the sword on the first level.
  • Avoided fighting the skeleton on Level 3 by luring it to the left and jumping over it.
  • Took some fall damage during levels 8-10 because it saved time or was unavoidable.

Bisqwit: Processing this movie.
Btw why is it longer than the NES version?
Slower stuff compared with the NES version:
  • All movements are slightly slower.
  • Can't jump as frequently, and jumping is faster than running.
  • Gates open slower.
  • Guards have more health.
  • You can't catch ledges if you run off an edge or fall through a loose tile.
  • You can't catch ledges that are below where you jumped from.
  • Significant level differences:
    • Level 3: Skeleton takes longer to deal with.
    • Level 7: The areas near the 2nd and 3rd guards are more complex.
    • Level 9: You have to go up and fight the guard on the far right.
    • Level 9: You have to drop a tile onto a switch by the exit to hold the left gate open.
    • Level 9: Extra gates on the far left.
    • Level 10: You can't skip the right half of the level because there's a gate in the way.

Faster stuff:

  • Jumping through guards.
  • Significant level differences.
    • Level 1: Skipping the sword.
    • Level 4: No need to fight the first guard.
    • Level 5: The exit switch is by the exit, not on the far right.
    • Level 5: You don't need to drop back down to the start to open the left gate.

The first list is a lot bigger, go figure.
