Obsoletes movie #1873 (39:06.68)
Rating: 9.0 (12.5 votes)
- Takes damage to save time
- Uses warps
- Genre: Platform
This is the any% TAS of Donkey Kong Country 2. It aims for overall fastest completion and doesn't give a flying banana about bonus rooms. Warp barrels are used whenever possible, meaning a large part of almost every stage in the first two worlds is skipped.

This is an improvement of 1:33.58 over the previous movie. As usual, longer loading times in a more accurate emulator take away some of the gross improvement time. If only comparing the length of the levels, the total improvement would be 1:39.21. See the author's notes for a more detailed breakdown.

For more primate action, we recommend watching the 102% completion movie.

Please read the welcome page if you haven't already done so. It explains the rules and methods that apply to all of these movies, particularly the use of savestates and frame advance. Also refer to our Glossary to understand terms we use, such as TAS or other unfamiliar terms.
