Donkey Kong Country 4 is an unlicensed "demake" of Donkey Kong Country by Taiwanese pirate developer Hummer Team. The game has 5 stages the player must travel to, each containing several levels and ending with a boss fight from the original game. Gameplay is similar to the official Gameboy Color port of Donkey Kong Country, allowing players to swap Kongs any time they want (provided both are available) by pressing the Select button. Like other games released by Hummer Team, the cartridge this game was released on contains a graphics variation in the ROM, enabled by soldering different points on the PCB, that transforms the game into The Jungle Book 2.

The authors take advantage of Diddy Kong's superior movement speed and an underwater zipping glitch to complete the game in record time.
