The game mechanic is very different than in other Monkey Ball games. While in mid-air the speed decreases. So minimizing time in mid-air is essential to save as many frames as possible.
Bouncing of edges also doesn't increase speed but it can be abused if not to much time in mid-air is spend.
Due to missing analog controls it is really difficult to do positioning and acceleration well, there's only 8 possibilites to chose from, while with analog there would many more. This means to get a good position sometimes realising and pressing directional buttons is needed. This is more difficult when the camera turns.

Stage 1

Just heavily optimized, abused bouncing of edges. Plus more entertainment, staying on that block was quite a challenge.

Stage 2

More efficient way to go to the first turn. Minimized speed drops the the section with the moving platforms. And a more time save on the last turn.

Stage 3

Less speed lost when getting back on the stage, also better direction. Abused bouncing on the last segment.

Stage 4

A lot of time was saved here from not going to far away from the goal when doing the skip. Also landing after the skip should be good positioned.

Stage 5

Hopping over the pit required an acceleration interupt, improved some time doing it on the right frame. Also more efficient way taking the turns. And the last pit was also done as effient as possible by using an acceleration interupt.

Other comments

My fur is so insanely soft and fluffy. :3
