About the game

Mini Putt is a simple putt-putt golf game. Some holes have funny gimmicks.

This game was never released outside Japan.

About the run

In this run, I achieved hole-in-one in all holes except for 4-2.

I used a lua bot to find solutions. But my primary goal is the lowest score, so I did not search so thoroughly for the fastest time. For reference, I put the log emitted by the bot.

note: the re-record count does not include the trial-errors made by the bot.

These parameters affect the ball movement:

  • Weather ($0545)
  • Cursor ($9B-$9C, $9D-$9E)
  • Power ($054E)
  • Curve ($054D)

You can easily manipulate weather by adjusting the timing to finish a hole. I think we have no reason to choose weathers other than "fine".

Some holes have gimmicks that run on a fixed period.

In "play" mode, you can choose gender of player. But gender seems not to affect gameplay.

You can not save any frame by increasing power from this movie. The speed of ball seems to be capped when it is shot horizontally/vertically. This rule also applies to other holes.

As you see, you can zip through the wall by hitting the ball toward the space between the wall and the gate.

Unfortunately, I could not find a hole-in-one solution in this hole.

It is possible to zip into the elephant. But I could not break through the elephant body even on 2nd shot, so, to say the least, it will be very difficult to break through the elephant with one shot.

You may think the 2nd shot is sloppy, but on 1st shot, I could not get a straight line for 2nd shot without large loss.

This hole has 4 portals, and each portal leads to a random place ($B3-$B6). You can easily manipulate it like weather.

Tricks

You can zip through a wall and go out of bounds by hitting the ball to the corner of wall precisely. I put the movie in 1-2 and 1-4. It seems that the corner needs to be an obtuse angle. I did not use this trick in this run.


Mothrayas: Nice showcase of tool-assisted precision. The movie keeps a good pace throughout, and it was received well by the audience. Accepting for Moons.
