Ghosts 'n Goblins (1986) begins with a normal scene: a half-naked knight is on a date in a graveyard with a princess. Suddenly, a demon appears and abducts the princess! The knight quickly suits up and makes rapid progres (sic) through the demon world in an attempt to rescue his royal girlfriend.
Arc is a veteran when it comes to making TASes of Ghosts 'n Goblins. This TAS is his ninth version, and it is 15.083 seconds faster than the previous version by Guanobowl. There is a vast amount of luck manipulation throughout the game, and there are multiple instances of the rare 'boost from enemy damage' trick.
Note: The previous movie ran through the game twice (after the first completion, the game does not show the real ending). This movie only runs through once, hence the much shorter overall time. The actual first-quest time difference is 15.083 seconds.
In Japanese, this game is known as 魔界村 (Makaimura or "Demon World Village").
