Forgive me for asking, but since the Cheat Saber is an (obviously) overpowered weapon, wouldn't that make for a trivial run? I feel it would be more entertaining to submit a run without the use of it.
There is a run from almost five years ago that avoids that weapon and uses Rider Kick as a substitute (see below). Since it's not an insta-kill weapon, this is considerably less OP, but I fear that on the non-boss portions, the current "No Cheat Saber" run is not as optimal as this run.

I don't feel that a run aiming for speed would be publication worthy. An SNES Family Feud publication exists too, so I'm not sure how TASVideos a run of the NES version can be accepted (if it can).

I appreciate seeing TASes of SMB1 ROM hacks, and I understand that this is the first TAS that you have submitted to TASVideos. But unfortunately, for either case, this hack will not seem to cut it.
The hack does not appeal to me much; most levels contain minor edits, mostly scenery changes. Perhaps World 1-1 and World 4 are a bit above minor, but I doubt that it would help otherwise.
Alongside the lack of uniqueness in the hack, your movement is suboptimal in many places.
I also got bored quickly; the least you could work on is showing a little enthusiasm while on your run because, unfortunately, I did not find any point of entertainment throughout.
These are some of the issues I have pointed out, but please do not let them discourage you. For now, consider this comment in the future and work on your TAS enough to be optimal, entertaining, and with enough quality for publication.
For now, I will be voting No on entertainment.

Just me going on a limb, but I see this as the least aesthetically pleasing of the series, but it seems to be the most popular.
Still, quality is subjective. I can't see how well it fits me; the staff and judges would know better about this than I.

Seeing as though I noticed improvements since the submission (mainly the Bowser fight), it may be best not to publish this.
But then again, I recall Nach reacting unkindly towards how horrid the hack looks, although you can only applaud the author for trying; the hack series sparked worldwide significance for players and users. It was one of the hardest of its kind anyway.
Still, we're better off waiting for staff approval before we can give rise to a new run of this hack. We can't be hasty enough to assume, "Okay, this is good, now let's make a new run." No.
We need to ensure the TASVideos staff approves of this hack. Yes, they've lightened up on how they accept ROM hacks, but we can't fully use this to our advantage. In this case, we'll have to take it with a grain of salt; the staff will hopefully handle the rest in the meantime.

Finally, a new SMB hack TAS, I love it!
Been a while, huh? Well, I loved the new improvements (mostly the damage clips, as mentioned in the submission. I never knew that the 2011 run could still be improved further; regardless, this has been ten and a half years well spent. Obvious yes vote. :)

Obviously arbitrary goal choice, I must agree. I'd vote no based on publication.
Even entirely one-frame A presses throughout can't make up for such, afaik. Besides, you can't get past 8-4 without pressing A for two or less frames. You're easily stuck on the second room... and that's it. (marc2427 and I figured that out 2017, so... Oh! And I'm not including a potential possibility of 4-4 while meeting these conditions.)
After watching the encode, I'm not too fond of the entertainment; could be better. All in all, however, I'm not so impressed. Meh vote.

As strange and odd as this sounds, this is actually quite creative. I wonder if the same can be done with the original 1985 game.

Interesting category and run. The entertainment never ceased to amaze me.
There were, however, some questionable spots on World 8 that I felt could've been improved by obtaining a Propeller Mushroom, but no matter. The efficiency of the run was all I anticipated.
Goal-wise, it feels to me a bootleg of the "one warp" category from Super Mario Bros. and/or a mix of warps and warpless. This isn't warpless as it still uses warps on World 3 and World 6, but at the same time, it's not "warps" either because it doesn't use the fastest warps available (1 to 5, then 5 to 8). An interesting goal, but I wouldn't know how the judges would react on whether it's acceptable or not. Goal-wise, it's a Meh, but I hope to see a warpless (and maybe one warp, too, although very unlikely) run soon.
Otherwise, no doubt that this run passes on entertainment. Yes vote! Great first effort, guys!

Just a concern, though: Would it be possible to end input at the point where you enter Solgryn's third phase figuring since you already finished him off in the second phase? I've seen it happen on EZ-mode (though with a different ending), but I'm thinking that it's possible here too. (Or is that not allowed?)
Would also like to see a run of You're Gonna Rage-mode if possible.

So... here's a brief explanation I must put down. And forgive me if you're uncomfortable with all this.
In 2016, Moth rejected an earlier submission, concluding that it's "basically Mario's equivalent to Where's Waldo," assuming that the game doesn't have an interesting feel with the clear images coming about. At the time I came up with that reason, I'm not sure now if it's accurate enough to see why that submission got rejected.
I found out later that it's "one of around four discovered cartridges once used by Nintendo World Class Service to test and diagnose problems with the SNES and controllers" according to TCRF. Now I'm figuring that SNES Test Program is not a good "game" to TAS because of that.
I don't think this submission will make it for publication, very sorry! But don't let all this down... you'll get better eventually. I'll have to refrain from voting for now, though.

Optimization aside (thx Spike), it's too obvious that skipping the majority of the levels cuts down on entertainment quite rapidly.
Would appreciate it if there were a "no zips" run available, or at least in the making. Other than that, no vote on entertainment.

I feel cheated with how this run achieves the bad ending.
I mean, I get that it beats the game faster than this movie, but in the end, the game is confused as to where "Princess" is. That tells me that the best/good ending has not been achieved.
I don't know if it should be published alongside HL's run because I've seen "bad ending" runs get rejected/canceled and "best/good ending" runs published. Obviously, skipping the giant Bowser fight to the "Thank you Mario! Your quest is over" text signifies that the TAS has achieved the bad ending, whereas the good/best ending is normally achieved by collecting all eight keys and finishing the giant Bowser fight altogether.

1. As Memory mentioned, there is already a faster run by nobodycallsmetubby, found on YouTube.
2. The goal of "no glitches" or "glitchless" just seems too arbitrary. While it may seem perfectly suitable for other games such as Pokémon: Diamond Version, I doubt this will seem to work for Mario games.

Also, to echo what Memory said, you may need to search through Youku, Nicovideo, Bilibili, or any other video-sharing platforms available to you, not just YouTube.

There's no pointing in doing just one simple party game. On top of that, it has absolutely no taste in entertainment.

I'd suggest doing a 100%/story mode run (if applicable) or doing all minigames at the highest difficulty (Master) for a run of Wii Party to get accepted.

Pretty quick, but other than that, didn't provide much entertainment for me.
It barely even did a thing.
Meh vote. (I'd vote no but I don't wanna be too harsh on that run, especially with how the run finished the game in less than a second)
Also, to add to the fact that it's gonna be published (eventually), shouldn't it be published as a new branch instead of obsolete the current run? Just my opinion.
