I usually prefer playing with Sammy (or Skate) when I play that game, just because he can cause so much havoc that the other characters can't. I do think that the run should be 2-player, though.
Ya, you could do the cheat to select the same characters, then do it with 2 Maxes or Skate + Max or even 2 Skates, I dont know! So many possibilities... I do think, though, that Blaze and Axel are useless to speedrun.

If anyone cares, I started on a video using Skate. Obviously this won't obsolete the current run, I just wanted to have a little fun, that's all. http://www.zshare.net/download/250823138b2eb7/ (don't expect anything huge, it's less than 2 minutes)
Skate is the showman. A real good player, even if not TASing, can always do some outstanding tricks and combos with him. Even though, his attacks are not as strong as Max's so if a Skate run was made, it most likely wouldn't be even as close as fast the actual run is but, otherwise, would seem quite more impressive I think!

Double Dragon was out in the arcades in 1987. Altered Beast didn't come out till 1988. Revolutionary? I really find that hard to believe.
Well, revolutionary on Genesis maybe, since it was one of the first games for it ever out (if not the first but that I am not sure of). It was out for it even before Sonic was.

Sorry but I find the movie pretty boring...if only it was in Pro Challenge mode, maybe it would be better to see some perfect racing going on Voting No ;(

I wouldn't vote Meh on a good improvement like this one. By the way, I don't think that "sex" thing is really a problem.

I'm also one of those who still cares a lot about this movie. I can't wait to see it finished...I just can't believe that a 151 pokemon run can be done in like, an acceptable time...wouldn't it take like at least 10 hours? It just doesn't fit in my head!

That was EXACTLY what I thought when I was watching this. Voted No as well.

Manipulating farther back sounds like a very good idea. I'd try it, but right now I'm really busy. And Calm Mind is a TM, isn't it?

Now that I have seen it...I'm glad I voted no. Have my own reasons for it. For one, there shouldn't be any spin dashing AKA Spinning in place for a build-up of speed. The original Sonic 1 didn't have that. Second, skipped probably around a third of the game. The Levels are pretty much one of the best parts of the game for me. Green Hill Zone 2, All of Marble Zone, and Labyrinth Zone 3. Probably forgot some, but the run lost my interest after Marble Zone and Labyrinth Zone. Just wasn't a lot of fun to watch.
You are joking, right? The run was intended to be as fast as possible, and skipping those parts is part of its process. Abusing glitches to make it even faster is also way more entertaining than solidly playing levels that we already know what they're made of and how to beat them. I can't seem to find a submission you did not vote "NO". Maybe you aren't hanging to the right site.

Nice stuff! For those who are wondering, the procedure is: The player should select Ryu as his player, proceed to M.Bison without taking ANY hits (quite impossible for a human player, isn't it?) and finally draw with M.Bison TEN TIMES without taking any hits (that is, by "Time Over"). After the player did all those things, Sheng Long would appear, beat M.Bison up and then fight you. Capcom enjoyed that idea so much that they decided to create Akuma in the next Street Fighter game of the series (Super Street Fighter II Turbo).

On this site, we make perfect movies, and then we surpass them. Of course, if we can surpass them, they were not perfect in the first place, but who would have known?

TASing has taken away my ability to play around with some platformers. Nowdays I just try to beat them as fast as I can (DKC and Mega Man 2 for example) which usually makes me game over a lot faster than usual.
Haha, same here! And theres absolutely nothing I can do to change it! :(

Well, after watching so much TASes I usually take damage to save time, try to abuse glitches and progamming errors as much as I can and sometimes even use death as a shortcut Its awesome, my style of playing is completely different after and before the TASes :D

The best/simplier nfo viewer is the "Damn NFO Viewer", absolutely. Well, I don't know if everyone is like me, but I always read the comments on published movies from all the movies I watch, even if they are those 300 lines comments, and it'd be much easier for me, at least, if I had how to read those huge submission comments without having to come to the site and look for the submission's page again.
