Link to video[/url] Anyone is up to this? This is definitely a very fitting category for Sonic CD, and one with much, much entertainment potential! The player would have to Time Travel to the past in every Zone 1 and Zone 2 to destroy the Robot Machine and the hologram, Zone 3 would be a Good Future, and we'd see the good ending. Note that there's another way to get the good ending, by collecting all Time Stones through Special Stages, but that's a completely different category. (Though both could be merged into a single one, 100%) The goals, although redundant, could be: -Destroy all Robot Machines and Metal Sonic holograms in the Past. -Make a Good Future in every Zone. -Get the good ending.

Basically what Paused said. Also, after having all Chaos emeralds, I think losing a few frames in order to collect 50 Rings and transform would be worth it, to show Super a bit more. Unless TASvideos standards force you to finish the levels as fast as possible, but that would be a pity!

http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_the_Hedgehog_-_The_Lost_Worlds I think I should throw this here. It's a hack purely dedicated to Sonic 2's scrapped levels. I find it of worse quality than Long Version, but more faithful to the Sonic 2 prototypes. It's also goddamned EVIL (badniks and traps EVERYWHERE), that's why I'd like to see it TASed. By the way, I love how they extended Hidden Palace Zone: it's the best version of the level I've ever seen!

Very surprising to see all levels being possible, the game loves throwing you into Rings! I love these runs that show more of the game: some tricks used were really amazing (ARZ1, HTZ2...).

So, you're going to try using Super Sonic in most stages, even if getting him wastes a bit of time compared to any%? IMO, that's a good thing, definitely focus on transforming! The first stage is all right, it's the rest of the run I'm pointing to.

Marzo, haven't you thought about reviving the "Glitchless Sonic 3" topic? After Aglar's no-zip Sonic 1, it'd make sense (and be awesome) to have a low-glitch run of this completely raped game. I have a set of goals in mind for it!

I like your special stage run, DDR, and I'd like to see it improved, but... If you want to do a Super Sonic run of the full game, would it make much difference after EHZ? I mean, unlike Sonic 3, levels are so straightforwards here that transforming (which needs 50 Rings) would be unnecessary or really short lived in most cases, and there isn't a final level like Doomsday Zone. Also, no Big Rings to get 50 instantly. You could try workarounds to get more Rings, but in such a linear game it doesn't seem to be productive.

OK, then I'm sorry, I hadn't seen it anywhere and found it really interesting. Now that we can simply skip the whole act 2 by defeating the loopback boss... anything from that act would be irrelevant for the S&T run, anyways.

Hey Marzo! I've found a new zip in Marble Garden 2! I don't think it could save time compared to the current TAS, but it's worth looking into it. Basically: you defeat the act 1 boss while riding a spinning top and keep on it for the transition to act 2. When act 2 starts and loads, you can move past the left edge of the screen with the top and zip to Sonic's boss! By the way, to defeat the boss without leaving the top, you'll need a Super transformation or 2P Tails.
