Good observation. But hey we are almost in the year 2005 and peps who have 56kmodem well "no comment about that" but I have a 10mbps connection and alot of discspace and your comment about "This site aint no dvd-rip" well I havent asked if Bisqwit could code it with a file size of 1,2 Gig. My point was it wouldnt hurt if the quality was a little better. Look at Palantiums bitrate run. Now THATS QUALITY (not saying the avi from Arc should be the same filesize but a little better bitrate wouldnt hurt though). Over and out!

Post subject: Is there any way I can change a codec on a avi file?

I was wondering if its possible for me to change a codec in a avi file? The reason is that I have bought a dvd player (Centrum Gemini 340) and this dvd player is the first player who supports divx (divx 3, 4 and 5) and xvid files (or at least a few of dvd-players who supports these files). And when I burned about 25-30 timeattacks in a single disc, about 70% of them didnt work out so well. Although I have returned the dvd-player and asked the company to search for any misscalculations on the player, I highly suspect that its because the dvd doesnt support all the divx and xvid versions and therefore doesnt perfom with a 100% compability. Thats why (any suggestions and ideas are more than welcome) I wonder if its any way possible for me to change a codec in a file to be able to watch it in my dvd-player without converting it to a much biger file to vcd or svcd? thx[/b]

I was wondering if the authors of Megaman runs feel the time is proper to make some improvements? (Im mainly refering to Megaman 2 & 3 & 4 and 6). I dont think Megaman1 cant be improved (maybe by a few seconds).

A message to bisqwit. I personally want to thank you for the trouble you went trough to code this file. And I sincerly hope you will continue in the future code big file like this (because its thruely is worth it) and perhaps its what we "enjoyers" can expect from a admin like you. Also I very good notation is that I know the file still looks still a little blurry BUT when I switched it to my tv (thus your comp must have tv-out option) the file looked 90% very clean so for people like me it was a clean avi.

Anon perhaps you dont have the proper codec to veiw the avi file. Install ffdshow 2004 (it contains all the important codecs you need to view the latest codecs demands on avi files such as divx and xvid etc)

bag of magic I went to your link and saw their comments. and it makes me feel very very sad to see such greezy and haters who simply cant accept the fact Samus Aran run destroyed complety Red Scarlets run. they complain about that he/she used a emulator etc and its easier to perform this kind of run other than a legite runs. Those morons have completly forgotten that Samus Arans primary mission is to get the fastest possible 100% run using his/her tools. Now if he/she would try to play or do a legite run without any assistance of the tools etc how many times must Samus Aran play to achive that time? 545987231 times perhaps? But enough of those haters this timeattack was like Bisqwits totally sick sick run of Megaman1 everybody should download it because its the ultimate run (and would u know only Samus Aran can improve on this run because there are some segments which can be done better).

You are correct that Zangief would be a good alternative and his combo is excellent but there is just a minor problem with that beast. Its that he is to slow. He takes to much time to move forward or backward. According to my opinion Ken is the ultimate thrill. And now I remember my trick with him :)
