Yeah I am all for upgrading and using the latest version of Dolphin for the sake of improved emulation in various fields. Like the the examples you gave though I am not sure what you mean by "much better". Guessing you meant they run a bit faster and less texture glitches. In this case, I am not so sure if it's good to upgrade. But alas, enough of off topicness :D

It is more accurate if the newest version of dolphin loads the loading times several seconds faster. And before, dolphin wasn't so keen on emulating loading times. Even when SoulCal did his tas of resident evil, he said even though dolphin emulates loading times of this game, the loading times were quicker compared with a console. Doing it on 4.0.2 which loads them even faster is the wrong approach in my opinion.

Some things I've concluded: I think once this project is done, it will easily be over one hour. I mean I just finished tasing 1 minute and I am barely halway through a stage in some Mega Man lol :) Appreciate this project for what it is. Don't expect to understand everything (you easily could by replaying the movie file for any game to understand better what I did during a certain situation), just try to understand the magnitude of the difficulty of the run. A hint how extremely difficult this run is: I get caught in a difficult situation every 20-30 frames.. My fingers are killing me :) I must abuse scrolling up and down while on a ladder so that Mega Man who is climbing won't get lost if you catch my drift. Edit: Once/if you play this via 9 fceuxs, except wrong movie checksum for obvious reaon. Edit 2: If anyone can encode this (DeHackEd, Ilari, Aktan, etc), I would greatly appreciate it.

This deserves to be highlighted: https://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/detail?r=ed67d1ae2f9693ed42867a2e79b7cae4427574e3 As the commit says, it fixes heat effect glitch. Abahbob helped delroth, kudos to him. This commit supposedly fixes some glitch in paper mario aswell.

Great news! Ans's method Nes/Emulation Speed/Set Frameadvance Delay-9999 worked :) I managed to tas and sync the beginning of my new files. I verified by chosing one file for all 9 runs and it picked correctly all 9 bosses. Though curiously, even though my batch file works perfectly fine does not seem to load the save state. I get the error message: "State 1 load error". Can anyone determine what the problem might be? This only happens when I do this procedure via the batch file. If I manually open 9 fceuxs, I get no error call and it loads the save state just fine. Here is yet again how my batch looks like:

I thought Grunz, Bloob, Sam and some other guy were already working on it until something happened. We basically established what constitutes a 100% run. As Bizhawk is progressing forward, I think they would benefit more using that emulator than Mupen. Though Slowking's reported issues of Bizhawk needs to be addressed.

Understatement of the year. I have used FBA a lot of times and many revisions, this emulator is by far the worst emulator out there. It desyncs a lot. That's just one huge error we are talking about, there are others. You have to endure the desyncs, that's all you can do.
