natt, I don't know if it's due to my codecs (I am using ffdshow) or my computer but every once in a while, the running doesn't appear to be smooth. I am referring to your 720p encode.

For the first time, I agree with Slowking. You stated nowhere that this is a test run. And you Kirkq talk about being constructive and whatnot. Do you think you are helping the matter when you are being excessively sarcastic towards SoulCal and Slowking? If you want constructive feedback, then how about you do it yourself instead of quoting wrongly what a person said and not being sarcastic. And where did I mention arguing about using a J rom? This is one of the hardest part of the game depending on how thorough and optimized you want your run to be. Once it's over, I am sure you'll progress easier. Hang in there rog :)

Logitech_SDA is your guy for basically any answers you have. I also recommend watching his vids on his youtube channel because a lot of his discoveries can be quickly performed in a tas.

Fully agree with you here. Dolphin must be able to emulate at least some loading time. The above link that I provided fixed the crash/freeze when you play Metroid Prime 2 and 3 so it most probably has nothing to do with emulating loading times. I am 100% sure we will get there in the near future.

I am so excited! Many wonderful things is happening to Dolphin right now. This revision http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/detail?r=41652d6b1f391fdcd0f599463f689c0299cdc007&name=FifoBusy should make Metroid Prime 2 and 3 tasable. Could someone please verify this? I am also curious if the loading times are emulated more or less, compared with Metroid Prime.

Vill nu i efterhand be om ursäkt till er för mitt uppträdande i Ocarina of Time tråden. Prepackaged :P I consider myself being very good at cooking salmon. Mix it with potatoes and Hollander (<-- doubt that is the name of it in english) sauce and you are in heaven. My other specialities are chiken tikka masala, chicken with rice etc. What are yours?

I assume you used BizHawk for the encode. That being said, the size doesn't look entirely right. It's a bit smaller compared with fceux. I hope this won't be the new official guidline of encoding nes games.

I think nitsuja indirectly knows the issue with the goop. He said he can find and/or knows a few more variables to save. I don't think you can do much about the loading screen for now. Metroid Prime has almost no loading period. But a developer can obviously give a more thorough answer.
