I have never played the game but from what I saw, the game looked interesting and your tasing looked pretty okay. I mean, to my knowledge, there isn't so much you can do except for killing the enemies fast as possible. Also, welcome to TASvideos.

Atma and I have literally busted our chops for weeks trying to get the right cutscene (the one where the colony gets destroyed) optimized. We obviously can optimize the texts, but thats where the problem is. It is related to when we kill Sigma and the buttons we press during the texts. For instance, this optimized version: http://files.filefront.com/movie+optimized+sigmapxm/;12200578;/fileinfo.html kills sigma very fast. Now, if you either play the following cutscenes in realtime or frame advance, your chance of getting the right cutscene is very low.
However, this version, http://files.filefront.com/movie+unoptimizedpxm/;12200604;/fileinfo.html which is an unoptimized Sigma battle has a much higher ratio of getting to the right cutscene, played in realtime, but has a bit lower chance of succeeding when you frame advance. The first link is our current WIP. If anyone (Fractalfusion, Satoryu?) is interested in helping us getting passed this extremely annoying situation, then by all means, grab our WIP and go nuts. Because once this is done, we will be able to progress a lot faster.

Well, if there is/are any question/s, then we will probably answer them. Since there isn't any, there isn't much to say. About the progress, its going really slow for several reasons:
1 - Shinryuu cannot tas with us at the moment.
2 - Its not a top priority run for any of us = AngerFist, Baxter and Shinryuu.
3 - Its not entirely highly motivating doing this run for the third time. But, to ensure everything is to our knowledge perfect and optimized to the bone, we are really taking our time. We have reduced a lot of lag in Bright Man, and thats were our progress currently is.
Also, feel free to work on your own or with someone else. to improve the current published run.

mz, could you please give us a thorough explanation of what options I should chose please. I have followed the instructions but that isn't enough as there are lots of things we must chose.
Edit: for clarity, these are the options I've picked:
1. Graphics : P.E. Op.S. Soft Driver 1.18
2. Sound: P.E. Op.S. DSound Audio 1.9
3. First and Second controller: N-Rage Plugin 0.95
4. CD ROM: P.E. Op.S. CDR Driver 1.4
5. BIOS: SCPH1001.BIN
6. Set Plugin directory - I've picked /plugin
7. Set BIOS directory - Same thing, I picked /bios folder.
8. Configuring CD ROM: INTERFACE: NONE. Drive: G. Read Mode: BE_2 (ATAPI SPEC 2) -> Im unsure which one to pick. I am using Daemon Rools Lite 4.11.1. Caching mode: None. Misc -> I have not picked any of those two options. Error handling: I've enabled: Try again on reading error. Retry count: 5. PPF patches is not enabled. Same goes for Subchannel reading.
Edit 2: Tools/Memory Cards, I don't know what to pick. Am I only supposed to configure/pick: "Select Mcd"? If I click on it, it goes to my /memcards folder and there is one file named Mcd002.mcr. Oh, this is memorycard 1.

One of best action movies this year, if not the best.
I can only concur with this gentleman. Nascimento, Neto, Matias and the whole B.O.P.E. squad is a group of badasses. Most reviewers agree with the directors view of point how corrupt policemen are in Rio. But there are lots of other sideplots in this movie. Everyone should really check it out. Keep especially an eye on Nascimento. Because in my opinion, he is one of the meanest characters I've ever seen on the screen.
