Okay here is the thing with xebra. He is pissed off because Bisqwit rejected his Wonderboy run, which was emulated through GBA. And yes, he is trolling. He once asked in irc (I was there too) if he should ask a offensive question to Bisqwit or something like that which he knew would not result in a constructive and positive atmosphere to this topic.

Well thats the whole idea of submitting something is it not? Among your goals when you submit a movie are to provide a fast and entertaining run which hopefully will eventually be published into a .avi file. Not some semipublished .smv file. I certainly did not notice Adolfs run was apparently published. Even when I did, I got confused. I checked for the .avi, which I bet 99% of our members do when some movie gets published. I dont think there are other movies who are "semi-published". I think the idea is pretty silly, confusing and serves no purpose. Therefore, count me in the group of people who does not understand this whole idea and disagrees with "semi-publication". However, this does not mean I support the idea of letting this movie get published (you know, the old drill; .avi, rank it etc). Adolfs effort was fine but unfortunately, I do not support his choice of goals.

Umm... yes. He clearly has tried virtually all options you've presented to him, none have worked. The hope relies on the encoders to eventually produce a desynchless .avi. Also, the main issue seem to be plugins. And judging from a long ass experience, there will be a a.avi in the near future.f Encoders always seem to find solutions.

Just a friendly warning: I once was asked to help them (Phil & Baxter) with luck manipulation and from that/my experience, I considered it almost one of the hardest games to TAS. I kid you not. But good luck with your run.

This is a no-brainer-sweet-upcoming-sincity2 yes vote! This was the first time I ever watched the game and Baxter promised I wouldnt be disappointed and oh boy he sure was right. I was thoroughly impressed, amazed and entertained. I also would like to see this run to get a star, which I honestly think it deserves. But perhaps more importantly (hope Bisqwit sees this and agrees), I think its time Baxter finally recieves his Ninja status. If anyone doubts me just take a look at the mans achievement and discoveries.

I have always wanted to ask you this question for a very long time. But I have often refrained from asking it because its in my opinion a ugly reminder/question that any admin would not like to think of. Especially when you are running a good community as TASVideos. My question is: How much longer will you run this site? Provided Im assuming your future goals correctly, I bet there will be a time when you will loose interest running this site. If/when that times comes, to whom will you put in charge of TASVideos? If you ask me, I can think of a few "rational and trustworthy" people who could possibly take over. Note that I hope you plan to run the site for as long as you can (until death do us apart ey? ^_^). Because despite the past, I think you are the greatest admin I've ever met.

Yes Spielberg will direct it. Michael Bay had the final call in the first movie but that all seem to be gone for the second movie. As I understand it, Michael Bay is a terrific director when it comes to making action scenes but he hasnt exactly build himself a reputation of creating movies with a strong plot :) And we all know Spielberg is a master when it comes to that + action scenes.

Well if it makes everyone feel any better, Transformers 2 will be released in 2009 by Spielberg. Michael Bay doesnt seem to be involved. Also, by that time, there have been repports implying that the CGI will significantly be enhanced so expect a much greater CGI. But you have to admit that the the CGI in the first movie looked amazing. Which makes you wonder exactly how good the upgraded CGI will produce. With Spielberg directing it, Im sure he will create a better plot. Also, the amount of money the movie made "should" make way for even greater action scenes :)

Just watched your run. I gotta say, Im very impressed how well you performed given the fact that Super Metroid is one of the hardest games to TAS. Its even more remarkable that this is your first tas project (at least, that I know of). So you get 5+ for your fine effort.
