Jumpkicks and teleporting? Are you sure this isn't a castlevaina game? Joking aside, the run's pretty repetitive, except for a few glitches that looked cool. Leaning more towards meh than yes on this one.

Yes that's what needs to be done, not optimization, just play the game on a different console. Everything else will fix itself. :)

How so? Isn't the goal to TAS games? Isn't having a run that is confirmed to also work on console an extension of that - again, TASing the game, not the emulator? The goal choice seems very clear, concise and well-defined to me. For most games, this branch simply wouldn't exist as either the fastest run would verify, or no runs would verify. Final Fantasy is currently a technical and possibly also a practical exception.
I was saying that the video wasn't faster that a previous existing strat nor is it enjoyable enough to warrant it's own. I did say I'd love to see this played back on an NES, but as a publication on this website, I get the feeling it just wouldn't fit.

I'm gonna have to vote no on this, since it's a somewhat arbitraty goal and doesn't bring anything new to the table. However, I'd still love to see this console verified. Perhaps update the current run's notes to a link with the verification video?

More 'ule' love, woohoo. Pity it takes a side by side comparison to see any differences, but improvements are improvements.

Voting yes cause I'm confused as to what actually happened.

Game gets rather repetitive after a few floors, but does look optimal. I'd vote "meh" for vault worthyness. Game's quite impressive though.

Well, you were able to keep it entertaining and make it a time improvement over the current submission. I think the expert run is preferable.

Unless you can make it way more glitchier, this feels like a vault submission. Even so, the input doesn't feel optimal for vault quality. A "Meh" from me (If I could vote).

I hear early icebeam might be possible on Wii version but im not sure
In the Japanese Wii remake, yes, but it's more complicated since you can't just jump up the spider ball track normally. You'd have to double jump after a bomb went off to get the height to do it. However, there's an invisible wall in the furnace room prior to obtaining the spider ball upgrade in the Trilogy version, preventing any sort of sequence breaking there. And that's just from practicing and researching. So do your homework next time please? I wasnn't too rude, was I? :( I was, I knew it. Sorry. :'(
