Thank you everyone for the nice comments. :)

Very nice done! You guys are always finding new tricks, when will we see another improvement, Arne? :D
Maybe not for any% but there is some things that could be better for 101% but I will not do it now.

It's 25 seconds faster and was quite entertaining but maybe a little too much of just standing inside each other but I really enjoyed it. Arne votes: Yes.

First of all, I'm sure the quality is quite good and that you can't jump over the walls but however it doesn't look good or impressive even if it is perfect because I think the game just plain lacks of "tool-assitence." The only interesting about the run is the bad collision check and some bosses. "Meh" vote

Wow, nice tricks Arne. The Dixie Spin and the Throw Up were really good. The Dixie Spin can be really useful and the Throw Up will cut several second in Castle Crush (especially when you skip the bonus xD) Have you been sucessful in doing the "Backwards Switch" in Castle Crush? The Throw Up can be used in other levels such as Rambi Rumble, Slime Climb, etc? About Fiery Furnance, sometimes when I play it on my console I get some weird bug: the stage ends. I start, run to the first barrel, end throw me down to the ground, and then suddenly the stage and, there is my character icon on it but I can't do Start+Select :S Dunno how I do it, but I know that it exists on console :) I wasn't able to reproduce it on the emulator, but I didn't use Frame Advance/Save States..
I haven't succeed with the backwards switch in castle crush yet but I don't think it will work however. I don't really understand what you mean about the Fiery Furnace but if you can get it work and it would save time I would be grateful if you told me and do you know which version it is? I have decided to improve the any% first because it can be improved by at least 90 seconds and it gives me more knowledge of the game before I do 102%. I added a trick with rambi and I will add more later on such as ducking under water and maybe later create a Dkc trick page.

Wow, very impressive finds. I hope hope hope that Castle Crush thing ends up being usable. So is this next on your list after DKC1 any%?
It seems like I will do this next :) Maybe I'll improve DKC2 any% first and then 102%. I actually tested doing the "Throw up" trick on Castle Crush to the Midway barrel and I was about 2500! (41 seconds!) frames faster ^^ Did the whole stage now and it is 4782 (1 minute and 19,7 seconds)!! Test run of Castle Crush Edit: I noticed that it was very stupid to take the bonus when I just could countinue :/ So it could be maybe 500 frames more faster :D!

I will list some of the new tricks and glitches I discovered: Some rolling things: When you perform a normal roll your movement stops at the end of it. When you roll at an enemy you don't have that 'stop' at the end. I think you all knew that but you can also see that when you start a level you will automatically start a roll (if you hold 'Y' of course) and don't be bothered by that 'stop'. The same thing goes if you have released Y for 21(20?) frames and then perform a roll you will not have that stop. And with dixie if you do a 'non-stop' roll and you start a roll just when the first ends you will perform another non-stop roll. Remember that a non-stop roll must have 'Y' pressed the whole time. Demonstration of the dixie roll Edit: Also if you roll in air and hits an wall you won't be able to move left or right. "Throw up" trick: Yes, I know that "Throw up" is a synonym to vomit it was just a fun IRC thing. This trick is easy and can be useful at some places. You presses 'A' and be ready for a team-throw and jumps up and "throws up" the other character and when he/she lands you have a one frame opportunity to jump again and with this trick you can come really far up but it's unfortunately very slow. Demonstration of the Team throw up There is another version of the trick which is a little faster. You throw the other character at an enemy and before he comes back you jump up in air and when he comes back you jump again by just pressing 'B' Demonstration of the Throw-up2 trick including dixie roll and the backwards switch by an accident (gotta study about that trick) Backwards-walking character switch(:P): This trick seems to be very hard to perform and I don't quite understand how to do it yet but sometimes when you switch character they walk backwards instead of forward during the swithc and if they do walk backwards you can enter the ground if there's a slope or just a wall! Demonstration1 of the trick without entering the ground Demonstration2 of the trick with entering the ground and a lot of crap later I post some better demonstration when I succeed with it more :) And if someone manage to figure this out I will be thankful :) Edit: I'm going to test this on the left wall on castle crush but it's hard doing it miscellaneous things: Fast way to finish Fiery Furnace bonus Game crashes and goes very fast up Castle Crush, but I don't think this really can be used. test it yourself Diddy gets Invisible :) funny thing Another thing is when you charge with rambi and make a jump and if you press left and jumps the same time while in air you make another jump. Demonstration with the chargejump combined with other tactics. ducking under water: All you have to do is run off an edge and duck before you start fall and you will fall while ducking and duck under water and if you hold B while ducking under water you will go up very fast. This trick can be used to go up and down the water very quickly. Demonstration There is A LOT more that I will post when I remember them. [/url][/b]

I'm pretty slow at making TAS and am still doing Any% but I have found a lot of glitches and tricks on DKC 2 but I don't know if I will manage to do DKC 2 101% but I could try when I finish Any% ^^ Ps. I've saved 26 seconds now and just made Mine-cart madness and expect to save 30+ seconds on DKC any% I do a post later with all glitches included :)

Alrighty then... I think the smartest thing to do would be going for frame count because I don't think it would really be that big diffrence anyway...

I've been thinking about strategies and tactics for a 102% run for a while now. I think I'll do a run after I've done DKC any% but I don't know if I should aim for the in-game timer (like in dkc 101%) or overall frame count. The in-game timer counts only the time in the levels. I think I prefer to go for in-game timer but I would just like to know what you think I should do.

Extremely nice movie. Very cool tricks and thoroughly alot of entertainment! I enjoyed the many cool glitches mostly the endless mid-air roll in "Mine Cart Madness" right after you die with one Donkey Kong. Wouldn't it be possible to use this endless roll trick on the "Trick Track Trek" and the "Tanked Up Trouble" stage to save many seconds here by simply skip the long waits on the moving platform-machine? Other than that this movie is extremely fast and well planned out and deserves only a great YES vote! Well done Arne.
Unfortunately the mid-air rolling works only in the Mine Cart stages. Thank you. I can say that I now started on DKC any% and it's going somewhat well and I'm been studying DKC 2 about 102% tactics so I may do 102% later.

If anyone knows whats the in-game seconds is PLEASE tell me. I really want to know.
The game's timer appears to be stored at 7E0048 for the minutes, and 7E0046 for frames, seconds aren't kept track of separately. After loading your save file at the end of the game, the timer reads 38 minutes and 3376 frames, so that's about 56 seconds and 16 frames.
So that's 38:56 then? (38:56.26666666 though) All my best thanks to you, sir ;)

Good run but: - I think there are too much "crazy stuff" - Water levels don't look very good. Maybe they could do better? - You don't use some tricks what i found and they are faster. Why? + Cool new tricks + It's faster as published run It's not that good what i expect :p but i vote YES :)
I actually compared some of my waterstages with yours and my were somewhat faster. What tricks do you mean? Have in mind that I had done most of mine run when you started your run and I haven't watched through you run that much. And it's my first submission so it's most likely I could missed something. And kind of agree that there's too much 'crazy stuff' going on. Omnipotententity: In forest frenzy you can't jump off ropes while they're moving, only at start when they don't have that much speed. And that barrel trick doesn't work at these kind of grounds... And thanks for all your nice comments!

Wow, totally amazing. It should not only get published but also get a star.
Wow, a star would be awesome, I don't know if it deserves a star but that's up to you guys to decide.
I'll watch this run right now.. :) im big fan of Donkey Kong Country games and i love the musics the most.. <3
Yes, the music is awesome as well as the gameplay. Btw, I look forward to your rockman 2 TAS Zurreco: I fixed it.

Well... I hope not because I really want to do DKC2 102% after my DKC 101% run is done but you can do as you want. ;) The run looks really good anyway :)

It looks really nice now sami :) I'm really suprised of how fast you work :) For me I make in a average about 1 stage per 2 days :P but I am more finicky. Going to eat and then I will work on forest frenzy :P Pull oneself together.

Sami: There exist an edit button instead of doing several post in a row. Rolling ín first level you need to walk without pressing Y and then roll an moment after :) Hehe... Many people use animated Donkey kong avatars but that's because they rock :D Good luck anyway.. Try just to look after small details :/ Haven't seen you're DKC3 yet but will when I find the right rom although I think 2:nd and 3:rd is too stiff compared to DKC. And... Try to use turbo-buttons at titles and stuff like that :) You could be one frame faster at the title, Not much but try to think about these things too..

So Blackpearl is still making a warpless run and sami is making an warp run? Didn't really get that. Sami: I just saw your WIP and it looked good, I gonna give you some tips in some stages: On pirate panic you can actually roll on the goaltarget directly instead of rolling down and then jump. In Lockjaws locker I think it could be better if you collect more bananas when youre falling :) In lava lagoon it looks like you gets a little stopped just before the seal. :/ In red-hot ride you can fly over the barrel and not landing on the balloon it should save some time. And try to do something when you are waiting. Everything else looks really good but it's important to look after the small details ;) keep up the good work :) I was thinking of making an TAS earlier but decided to improve DKC 101% run.

Alex: I meant winky's walkway but however gnawty didn't seem to could be improved =/ you played very precisly The shortcuts you take is faster right? Cause you don't need to take them but i don't know if you knew that but it looks faster anyway :). http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/582/BONUS_TRICK_DKC.smv Discovered a trick you can do as you fail on bonus's with diddy. The jump trick can be done on all, but the slide trick is only working on bonus like that. Wish I discovered that earlier :) Did some frame testing and it's slow you down about 30 frames to do the jump trick :( It's not worth it http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/597/DK-TAS.smv New update! I hope that you don't need to take the wendy room :) Gonna test just to be sure.

Alex: I just trying to be as fast as possible at everything and I just list up all things by frames, I don't really know how the game counts the in-game. And I am having a hard time with the tricks already now :P Graveworm: of course I'll keep doing this great! I'm Arne the great? JXQ: It's things like that I want to know, even I already read that earlier but I'm not going to be happy if I miss things like that. But thanks anyway I just done Very gnawty's lair so I just finished the first world =) now up to some harder work. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/560/DK-TAS.smv

Ok, I decided to restart the run because I saw somethings that could be improved (Forgot to compare diffrent things in each stage) and hexing was too much work for me. But now it's faster anyway :P I just hope I don't get bored and gives up with the run. =/ Deviance: It sure be good if you told me tactics before I make the level because it would make things a little easier :P

deviance, I'm pretty sure that I will reach the 38 mark, I know a trick on forest frenzy that will save about 5 seconds or more and some other tricks too and I keep finding new tricks while i play. And if anyone of you have some tactics or whatever that could save time so please tell me before i make the stage =/ :) Hmm... notice a weird thing... my video 11592 frames and in seconds would be 193,2 and my re-record count is 1932 :O I didn't even know that :O and thank you saturn and the others that motives me =)

Well... it's the patience that is my biggest enemy because it's going pretty slow right now but i hope i will last to the end. But on the other side I can't stand to see that it can be improved :P
