I remember when I played Civilization and one of the default names for a city was "Mahatma", but I changed it to "TooHotMa" because I thought that was really funny or something!

I never had that turned on before, and turning it on didn't seem to change anything.

I mean that glN64 will show the picture the first time I load a ROM after starting Mupen 64, but if I play a movie, reset the ROM, or load a ROM again, it'll only show gray. I don't think any of the video settings have anything to do with it...

Hm, yeah, that does seem like a bit much. I liked the idea that the general public could vote on the movies, not just "the in crowd".

On one hand, I like that it has new music (seems to be a rarity in hacks), but on the other hand, I think it could have been written better. A few songs were taken from other NES games, but they didn't sound as good as in those games! I think the most annoying part was in the ending, where the walking-home tune was transposed, but the hackers failed to keep the very end of the tune in the same key.

I can't get the movie to crash. I even tried downloading it the "unsafe" way by opening it as a text file in my browser and saving that, but it still worked. I'll try a new ROM, though, to see if that has any effect. Did you already try redownloading the movie?
