Hm, I bet you could find a lot of seams and stuff to slip through with retries.

Vatchern claims that the only way to affect an item drop is to get it at a different time, and he couldn't beat the enemy at any other time.

They look at the floor to reduce lag. It's a lot easier for the game to draw just the floor. :)

Those are possibilities. But I think a separate movie would be better, in case someone wants to see only the pro levels or only the regular quest.

They're levels you can play by typing PROA, PROB, PROC, and PROD as passwords. Beating one just sends you back to the title screen, though. Another password the game doesn't mention is CSTM, which lets you set up the buttons for the special abilities.

Do you think there should also be a run of the Pro levels?

So you're going to fool Meggerman into thinking he's somewhere else a lot, then get him back on track somehow?

Well I don't know this game. I thought there might be a mini-game involving holes.

A game with holes? Or did you mean the WHOLE game?

Video game consoles are actually computers. All computers are simply just calculators ― they do exactly what they have been told, and no matter how many times repeated, they always get the same results. For this reason, there is nothing random in the games. The games are pseudorandom. The only source of "true" randomness for games is you. The games are purely deterministic and depend on user input.

Well, I don't think it would be so bad. But I was discussing a score run of the entire game on IRC, and I hear you can get MILLIONS of points in the game, while the 18-minute run of the NES game doesn't even reach 700,000. You might have to use deaths to repeat levels just to get one million. So I guess the best thing is to just play warpless as fast as possible, then do the challenge mode as well as possible.

But you have to play through the levels normally in quest mode to unlock them for score attacks, right? Maybe there could be a score run of the entire game followed by score runs of the individual levels.

LLCoolDave submitted an 11:22 run of it eight months ago, and it still hasn't been decided on.

It's great that you're adding all these features! Just don't forget to make the capitalization of the filenames match up to what you actually uploaded to filespace.

Well, I think it would be a little silly to fire missed shots if they don't do anything worthwhile, but I'll see. It's probably worth a redo to see if I can take back those "mysterious time losses".
