Hmm... I found I could save some time on Ballade by switching to Pharaoh Shot in the middle of the battle. I also started on ChargeMan, but maybe I should go see where else I need Pharaoh Shot to see if I can refill it conveniently.

The frame before reset, the frame of reset, or the frame after reset?

I think I found some possible frame saving in the 2:57:34 SMB RPG run. Think I'll get some yes votes if I fix it?
I would vote Yes, just to make you feel better

How crazy idea would be makeing a TAS of any Pokémon in which you'd catch every (possible) pokemon which you are able to get in that version? ;) It would of course take time, but when useing luck manipulation etc. it wouldn't be so extremely long as you'd first think. This would naturally require lots of prepareing and checking which is the fastest possible way (as does only finishing the game it self), but wouldn't it be cool to see that kind of speedrun?
Heh, I brought that up in IRC, but I thought it might be pretty boring too. You never know, though...

Destroy Brightman by PharaohShot It is faster than Rainflash And then you can use Flashstopper in ToadmanStage
Haha, I should have suggested that before, as that's what I'm doing in the Game Boy game. Could the "shoot while charging" trick help in this game, though? I noticed that in the NES version, the trick causes your charged Pharaoh Shot to be unlaunchable, so you can only fight with the ball stuck to your head. And isn't it true that the ball on your head only does as much damage as an uncharged shot? If so, then the trick is probably useless here. That's some nice use of the Flash Stopper in ToadMan. It lasts a lot longer than on the Game Boy, doesn't it? I was surprised that there wasn't more lag, but I noticed that the smaller birdies didn't appear. My guess is that it's the big birdie that produces or activates the small birdies somehow, since I also managed to keep a small birdie from appearing once by killing the big one fast.

I'm not even sure the changes in the other games are worth it. You may as well do the Super Mario Bros. DX/Advance games.

Don't forget that after you complete this level, you still have about fifteen levels to go!

Yeah, that was Nsm's idea there. I just optimized it.

Yay, now that level's done. http://www.filespace.org/BagOfMagicFood/Mega_Man_4_U.zip There might still be room for improvement in the battle, but we can think it over while planning the rest of the game.

I like that idea, even though it would make for very long videos most of the time. I think some examples would be that SMB1 movie and the SMB3 work-in-progress as well as Saturn's RPG movies.

Isn't the SNES picture supposed to fill your screen, though? From what I can tell, the proportions are wrong if it ISN'T stretched.

Okay, I started working on this again. I just have to do the fight against BrightMan, and then you can all see it.

Well, maybe getting all those lives could be laggy. I can see why you might avoid doing that.

Hey yeah! The video should be as fast as we THINK it can be! If someone has a faster version, then we should put it up, because it's not fair to the viewers to show them a video with obvious room for improvement! Right????

To be honest, I really couldn't see a difference other than how you handled the part before the tall stairs part of 4-1 like De said. Also, you messed up the end of 4-1 by not doing the traditional enemy throwing trick where they get stuck in the floor. Aparently, you just threw him and said screw it and went on.
Is it because he was carrying a Flurrie instead of a Shyguy? I don't know. I think it's still cool that the Flurrie went through him, though.

The Start is not part of the code Start is what you normally push to start the game, so it does not count

It's rather impressive, as far as Romhacks go. Nice level editing, and he even inserts music from Gameboy Rockman games.
