Or we could tell all the game developers to stop making unlockables anymore

Why are you so worried about them being credible?

I also vote for a run of the Super Nintendo version, since a) You don't have to hack anything or have a save file with 8 stars, and b) It might help satisfy the folks out there who prefer the Super Nintendo graphics. The different physics make it iffy, though, I admit.

That only works in the Game Boy series starting with 3. In this game, you can end the slide by jumping eight frames or more after you start the slide or by turning around. (In Mega Man 6, they changed it so that A merely stops the slide as Up does on the Game Boy, and then you have to press A again to jump.) You might want to test both ways to see which is faster, since they seemed pretty close to me.

Heh, that is impossible. Even in theory, because SMB scrolling only allows the screen to go left and right :p Hoaxes are funny. :)

Maybe they could be the basis for future game design, as in "What kinds of exploits tend to crop up?"

Hmmm... I thought I was getting close to beating BrightMan, but now it seems I won't be able to finish before leaving for vacation today. Oh well, I guess it'll have to wait.

People will believe in anything if they can find a small Internet community dedicated to it.

Actually, Mega Man 2 for Game Boy might be pretty easy. The only annoying part is that you can't stop a slide.

And you can't make a new run on Famtasia, because people will say, "Waaahhhhhhhh I hate that emulator!"

a) A hard mode run requires you to beat the game first, right? Unless that movie is being made with SRAM and isn't shooting to be accepted, I don't see the point.
Either we're changing the rules... Or the run plays through the game twice! Yay!

Meh, I was mainly just annoyed that SDA penalized Marshmallow for falling off the rainbow level in Bomberman 64 after getting the gold cards. What, did we really need to see him wasting his time struggling to get back to the center island when he might have fallen off in the process anyway? Is anyone really going to consider those penalty minutes as real time? If you don't like deaths because they're convenient, just arrange for a run with no deaths at all.

Maybe they already knew the show wouldn't last as they were finishing production, so they threw that line in as a joke.
