Seeing as this is exactly same run as the previous submission but only this time this is around 60 frames faster, I think its safe that I (who watched and voted in the previous submission) dont need to view this.
Yeah, I'm not expecting anyone who watched the previous version to watch this one also (unless they just really want to of course).

I'm not sure if the movie is really perfect... but I think this game is certainly entertaining enough (indeed too bad about the long cutscenes between the levels)... anyhow, voting yes.

Changing your voting pattern because people know what you vote... sounds somehow weird to me. The only reasons I can think of why people would change the ratings they gave is because they gave some totally unreasonable ratings, which couldn't be justified... and if these people are going to stop rating, or change their ratings because of the fact that it's made public... then I'd say it's another reason to make it public.

Ah you are right, but that is also another valid topic one could make.
Not nearly as valid as this one, since generally 'no'-votes are only valued if a reason is given.

In my opinion you shouldn't. If your movie gets a lot of yes votes and one no vote, you'd be a bit pissed on the person who voted no, if the person didn't state so. You could have a grudge on this person for a while (not saying everyone would react like this though). But no, they shouldn't be public.
Yes and no votes aren't ratings...

Of course they should be public! You should be proud of the ratings you give, since they reflect your opinion. I'd sure be interested to see how some members are giving grades.

Accepting this would mean that every other single lap time trial movie should be accepted. Also a 3 lap time trial movie should be accepted. This also means each grand prix can be made into a single TAS... but wait, there is 50CC, 100CC, 150CC and reverse. Adding this all up means 48 possible TASes for this game (well... technically, you can use 8 different characters, which means 384 possible TASes for this game). This would be awesome, since half of the TASes on this site would be Mario Kart 64 TASes. On the other hand, we can also reject this run. Maybe something like this would be better in a forum post than a submission. A TAS which completes all 4 GPs should be enough, and perhaps, a run which completes all 16 courses at time trials. More than 2 TASes for this game would be hard to imagine.

I actually had a go at this about a month ago to see if I could improve it, but I gave up after the first level since I ended up spending nearly 3000 rerecords on the first level. The two main main reasons I thought I could improve it was becuase I knew the first level could be done a frame faster, and then I'd try get a mushroom/flower on the second but I came to the conclusion this was probally not going to work out. The other big potential improvement is the overworld castle in World 8, I thought if would be possible to use the invisbible coint block to glitch through the wall and into the door on the other side, but after hours of trying I could seem to get it to work.
Don't worry about it, you can just use nitsuja's new movie as an April fools joke next year.

Realistically, how much would Genisto's warpful run need to be improved to obsolete it?
It's one of the most popular movies of the site, it has probably recieved several 10's on technical score... I'd say a movie like this can be obsoleted by 1 frame.

Wow, you managed to name six ranks for something that needs a maximally of 1 rank :D

Bisqwit, it says you have only 4 published movies, but somehow you managed to TAS 4 platform games, 1 action game, and 1 puzzle game.
One movie can have multiple genres.

Ah, and about the ranks... I don't know if you planned something like displaying amount of nonobsoleted movies or something, but if you plan on making separate ranks (like "player", "experienced player", "whatever") as suggested in the recently created ranks topic, I would suggest the same as I did back then:

Take the rating of one of your movies to the power of X, then add all those numbers for all your movies. N is your total amount of movies. X should be determined on how important high ratings are considered, but all movies count to a certain extent. Call the outcome Z. If Z = 0 --> member (what member depends on number of posts) If Z > 0 --> player If Z > A --> [insert name] If Z > B --> [insert name]

Very nice :) Just a few suggestions: I would change the order of the statistics, first "Publishes Movies", then "Submissions", then "How this user rates movies". The first number you see now is the number of accepted submissions, but this doesn't really tell that much. I think the "published Movies" section is the most important, so I'd put it first. Why was "gruefood" changed to "failed"? I also think the first 3 lines of the "published movies" section should be reversed. First amount of nonobsoleted movies, then the amount of obsoleted movies, then the number of 'teams'. Finally, I think the average entertainment rating is somehow weird. If you make a perfectly good run of a game that isn't very popular, your average entertainment rating goes down. This discourages from improving movies with a low rating somehow.

Why are always the inventors blamed? As for the actual videos: what is scary to me is that it's (roughly) one family. This pretty much shows that pretty much everyone who is born in a family like that will turn out to behave like that. You can hardly blame the girls that are doing it... they've been doing it since they were 6. And since nearly everyone is born into them, I think it is kinda weird to say:

I just want to kill those assholes really.
when most of them cannot really be blamed for what they are doing. Of course they showed that some of the familymembers didn't follow this religion, but I think it would be pretty hard to do such a thing. They are instantly abandoned by their family, and they don't have any friends (also shown in the videos) they could turn to.

Why steal it when you can just borrow it.
Borrowing without asking permission is called stealing. Putting your name on someone elses work is not borrowing, it's permanent (it still says it's a run by YOU that was rejected).

Wow, in two days it will be a year since I last posted here. After finishing Super C, this has become my main project next to the quadrun. I had already completed the first 8 levels a long time ago. I'm currently 50% done with the run, which means 18 levels are completed now.

I'm actually amazed that the SMW 96-star run isn't starred.
Would you give it the 11-exit's SMW star? That run is better optimized that the 96 exit run, so I wouldn't do this. I'd be totally against starring both, and I don't think SMW 96 exit run has a shortage of attention, being the highest rated run.

Good to have a real April fools submission :)... good job on that, and also good job on the movie. I unfortunately wasn't entertained by it, so I have to vote no.

It was already mentioned in the submissions topic, but I thought I'd mention it here also. The new Ninja Gaiden 2 run seems very suitable for a star. If it were up to me, it gets the River City Ransom star.
