They exist, therefore they can be exploited.

My guess is that input doesn't end until the actual end of the movie. xxNKxx, you can end the input file as soon as no further input can prevent the ending; in this case, that would be as soon as you release LK to deliver the final Bicycle Kick. Once you've done this, you can upload the updated movie file to your TASVideos userspace (http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/) for a judge to replace the submission file with. After watching: I notice you took a legitimate hit from Kung Lao in Round 1. Was that intentional? Otherwise, glad to see you ironed out the problems I pointed out in your topic in the SNES forum. Maybe I'm just a sucker for stupid things, but I thought the run was pretty funny. I'll vote Yes for the Vault. i think mortal kombat is a pretty cool guy, eh walks on peoples faces and doesnt afraid of anything

The sound in the Youtube encode desyncs in the first Sonya/Rayden/Nightwolf fight.

Why do you feel hacks should not be published?

Not sure why, but the encode is automatically playing as soon as I load Page 1. Kind of irritating, since I've already watched the SMV.

In the category of judging decisions I would have vehemently disagreed with if I'd been there, #668: atro city's Genesis Streets of Rage 3 in 46:18.77

I watched this last night during a bout of insomnia, and holy crap was I impressed. The new route for the new version is awesome, and I like how Phantoon and Kraid were worked into the new version of the hack. Easy Yes vote, for Star tier. Also, I know it's early, but I'm calling it right now: Speedy TAS of 2013, right here. EDIT: The patch is available at Romhacking.net. http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/742/ The hashes Nach posted are correct for patching.

Do our two published SMW hacks have this problem you're telling us about, Patashu?

Always glad to spread awareness. Hate to see a good TAS rejected because the author wasn't aware of a new rule. Maybe this topic title should be edited to state that 1.43 is fully obsolete now?

Before you keep going, if you plan to, be aware that v1.43 is not allowed any more.

From your description, it sounds to me like input frames and lag frames advance the RNG in different ways/at different speeds.

I'd like to get my dissenting opinion on this decision on the record. I do see what you're getting at with regard to the end of the game, feos. However, the glitched Super Mario World run does something very similar (corrupts memory to jump straight to the "The End" screen) and the decision was to accept it. What makes this run so different from that one? Is it just that Pokemon Yellow should make an autosave and this run doesn't do that?

There's no way it's his specs. I have 2gb RAM, 224mb shared VRAM and 1.8 GhZ dual-core, and I get 50 FPS with no movie, everything at minimum. (which I understand incurs a lot of CPU overhead; with movie i get like 30.)

Damn, I get better performance than that with 1.8 GhZ dual-core, 2GB RAM, and 224mb integrated video. Might want to ask in the BizHawk forum.

I was using Bizhawk something like 9-10 hours ago, trying to get the SNES core running at a decent speed. I just had occasion to open the Task Manager, and the libsneshawk-comptibility-32 process was still going. EDIT: I may have closed Bizhawk by closing the console window. I know I did that at one point, but I don't remember if I did it the most recent time.

Wouldn't the FM2 have the MD5 hash in it?

Unfortunately, my computer is sufficiently old that I can't power SNESHawk to more than 40 FPS, so I'm waiting on WIP encodes and/or the finished movie. But I'm really looking forward to it.

I'll wait for an encode to vote, but fighting game TASes that aim for fastest time are generally VERY boring.

Something I've been wondering: Is there a compilation somewhere of no-BLJ videos for the stars that AREN'T in the 70-star run?
