I'd love to see a Final Fantasy Tactics speedrun. It was one of my favorite PSX games. Though I think it might be too boring to see spells raping everything all the time. To make it more entertaining, we could do things like playing the game only with weak classes.
Yeah, Ramza black or white mage into calculator pretty much wraps things up. JP glitch is beyond broken too.

Hmm Dark Fulgore did Super Turbo (arcade) also. I better check out his resumé before I request any more runs. About Megaman Legends, someone did a Megaman 64 WIP I believe.

On the topic of fighting game runs, I'd like to see someone try Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (Game's name is Street Fighter Collection) with Ken or Marvel vs Capcom with Ryu (transforming into Ken or Akuma some matches). Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo could be nice too since its like Tetris but 50x cuter. Edit: Took out offer to provide rom images.

I don't even know what Tomba's first level looks like... or what Tomba looks like (assuming thats the name of the main character). I'd check it out if I had the disk, I prefer to make my own disk images.

Just need to get my ps2 controller to work on the emu and I'll make my decision. Right now only keyboard is working. I've been practicing using the emulator on Street Fighter Alpha 3 (V-ism Akuma) just to get the hang of it. I'm a newbie TASer so frame advance feels pretty weird but I'm getting it.

I'm tossing ideas around my head for what I'll work on. Tombraider, Ape Escape, Diablo 1, Metal Gear VR, Breath of Fire 3, Spyro, MK Mythologies (could be boring though), Legacy of Kain, and I forget the rest probably shoulda wrote them down. Diablo seems like the cheapo way to get a TAS completed since the run would be like 5 minutes long. The game could have a frame war though like Donkey Kong did. Spyro is seeming pretty good.

Whats the precise damage for each weapon and how much hp do nemesis and the worm have? Or do we not have the tools yet to check that out.

You mean lighter weapons make you run faster? I suppose thats not too surprising. On resident evil 4, unarmed and grenades make you move the 2nd fastest (shotgun glitch made you run the fastest)

Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition but I think I'll let you have the raptors and englishman can have snake. With PSX's massive library we only need 1 person per game at the moment. I'll look for a plan C, I'm thinking Ape Escape for now if dual shock games work. Tombraider is another possibility. Btw I'm all for a no alerts run. It's not an arbitrary goal since the game acknowledges it by giving you a rank at the end (Big Boss for finishing Extreme with 0 alerts, low (or none, I only remember MGS2 requirements) rations, and a speed requirement we'll get automatically. I'm not sure what the no alert reward is for hard but I'm pretty sure there's one. Plus it'll just be appropriate to stealth on a stealth game. If anybody ever does Tenchu 1/2 for instance, that should totally be no alerts and maybe even GrandMaster Ninja only (10 stealth kills, 0 spotted).

Oh you're kidding me, I just decided to run this game like a few hours ago. I wonder if Dino Crisis 2 works, that was my plan B.

Wow, I was planning to watch this in multiple sittings but somehow I was mesmerized into watching it in one sitting. Thanks so much for your work and for posting this, I enjoyed it a lot. I had never seen the game outside of screenshots before so Nemesis' movement surprised the heck out of me. I kinda expected him to move at a Jason Voorhees speed. Between all the PSX test runs lately, I've been inspired to work on my own someday. I'll do a Metal Gear Solid extreme mode tas (Hey we got Mario, Megaman, Samus, and Sonic, now its Snake's turn). I figure it'll be like this run but with 1/4th the hallways, 5x the boss battles, and 10x the cutscenes. Good luck on your next version of this run, you have my support. "You want S.T.A.R.S.? I'll show you stars"

That was way better than I expected. Make this your first full TAS, I'd watch the whole thing without speedup. Good luck. Edit: I saw your 2nd test run. Jesus frickin christ Strider wtf did they do to deserve that >_<? Suddenly I don't feel so bad about losing to him on Marvel vs Capcom so much.

This topic has been coming up like CRAZY lately. Every forum, every topic, every page, everywhere. Make www.tasvideoslite.org? Bisqwit? As for the actual run, 8/9 from me.

As long as you make steady progress as you go it should be okay. Don't jump around in the castle courtyard for 5 minutes (Oh snap he jumped off the castle and grabbed a tree, ah k now he's doing that new blj thing, k now he's... alright go in the goddamn castle already) or randomly stop to break dance or do rapid backflips for no reason whatsoever.

Its a shame this wastes so much time that its impractical, but it'd go pretty smooth. Warping to 6-8 like in the glitch tas, beating it, then going back to world 1. By the time he gets to 6-8 again it'll be like an hour or two later so I could live with watching it a 2nd time. If it has to be 2 times nearly consecutive, eh fast forward's there for a reason.

Cool to see you're taking on the challenge. After spezzafer quit, this run has been kind of the Boogie Man of TASers as far as projects go.
