It was a tough choice between the Mega Men for me. Rygar and Metroid are both severely glitched out, but half of the value of the glitches are simply due to skipping so much of the game, and while this is an astounding concept and makes for a short, great movie, does not strike me as overly creative. I'm going to go with Mega Man 1. Tough choice, but it just seems like this one had a greater variety of glitches which were fixed in the second, all of which were used creatively.

I nominate for this category according to how many times I actually said "WHAT?!?" out loud while watching the movie. So essentially, how often the movie contained a move or event that I would have never seen coming. Gradius, Mega Man, and Mega Man 2 are both perfect examples, and I would nominate both. Other nominations I'd personally make include: Legacy of the Wizard- http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=492 But you'd have to have played the game through and really know the paths the author skipps to appreciate this. Metroid low% run- This entire movie is just one big "WHAT?!?"

Walker Boh's done a lot of tough ones that nobody's wanted to pick up as well because of their difficulty. Legacy of the Wizard comes to mind. I'd really like to do a run of this, but I just know it would not go well. Acmlm also stands out in my head.

I'm so surprised I'm one of the low% Super Metroid's runs only fans. I love that movie, it's definitely one of the most entertaining for me simply because of the creative methods of sequence breaking. So basically while I'm making it sound like it's for most creative use of glitches, it's this element that causes it to be so entertaining for me. http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=455 The others are already in that list, and I think they're all good movies... the only one I'd personally probably remove is Sparkster. And DKC probably wouldn't be on my own list.

This is going to be the toughest category to bring down to five... here are my, well, six. Contra- http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=81 Bionic Commando- http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=478 Legacy of the Wizard- http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=492 Mega Man 2- http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=581 Metroid 1 item run- http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=420 River City Ransom

I'd say SMRPG for sure. There wasn't a word prior to it being released, as far as I know.

Tough category, since so many players post their runs out of the blue in order to accentuate effect. I know I've done it. I think I'd nominate Jackal. Great run, played well, nobody saw it coming. http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=360 I wasn't around before this video came out- was Ironsword expected? http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=495

I wish I'd posted sooner, because I would have nominated the Super Metroid run in 51:06. I love that run solely because of the glitches, and sequence breaking which came as a result. if there was one movie I'd want to win an award, I think it would be that. I guess it's too late... oh well. http://tasvideos.org/queue.cgi?id=594

Definitely Mega Man 2. If people were willing enough to track him down and post relentlessly on his message board, I think that says something. The only movie that would have come close in my mind would have been Legacy of the Wizard.

http://users.ign.com/collection/Blechy I love that page. I don't know how many I still have though, I think I've been forcing my grandmother to keep them in her closet for some time. Probably will sell them eventually.

http://tasvideos.org/ A big "submissions" link is right on the left you silly goose. After clicking submit your own movies, make sure you've paid attention to the guidelines on the top of the page. Look forward to seeing it.

I lied. Guess it was hard sarcasm to pick up on.

If you change Megaman to a different color, he becomes a new character! Or maybe he's just Megaman with a different weapon
Boco told me that in Mega Man 2 the reason why X teleports offscreen every time you pause and switch weapons is because every different weapon version is a different version of X.

That's great. Questions: What is the game "Gorf"? In the third picture down, what is the colorful object in the lower right? It looks almost like a baby toy. Where are the taped archives of Video Power, the greatest game show ever made? Edit: Heh, my friend: "You'd figure with that collection the guy would buy a nicer tv."

At first I thought it was a vehicle of some sort, almost like Johnny Whatever in Chrono Trigger's vehicle form. I asked, he said it was the Terranigma guy sliding. But then, I thought that the blue sword was actually sparks formed by the slide. I don't like thinking of it as a sword, those sparks were cool.

Awesome stuff. Are there any differences in going from NTSC to PAL(I assume it's PAL)? For instance, I notice his charged bullets graze units without actually killing them, or he targets groups of already dead ships. I don't have my N64 with me, does this occur in the NTSC version as well?

It might save bandwidth as well. Unless you want to go through the Submissions page(which no one would do), there is no way to isolate a specific movie you wish to download. So, when you go to the NES movies to download a specific video, you have no choice but to have all the images download. Solutions which come to mind include an easy category such as first letter of the game, or a search bar.

15355 on nanaca, heh. It's all about the cosmic forcefield. I'm still a little unclear on the through and run girl and the wacky specials she gives.

I played that game (TAO) for a long time, it is indeed a lot of fun with a great deal of strategy involved. But I started getting annoyed at the luck involved. I started a post which said armor should affect damage reduction rather than chance to hit, as that would be more predictable and strategic, and while a few agreed with me most didn't. Oh well. It's still a great game.

The cleverness and strategy involved in SSBM is exactly what I like about it. It's what differentiates it from another popular fighter such as SC2. I've seen some sites with videos, but not many.

I was gonna ask the same thing. SSBM is my favorite game of all time, and I always enjoy watching videos of pros. I'm the best person I personally know at the game, but I feel like if I played at tournaments it would just discourage me, heh. Also, hullo!

You can only watch flying stars so many times before it gets tedious... nonetheless, well played run of a good game. Gets a yes.

Such a fun game. 60 heroes, but it doesn't take too long too get used to them(and all the items). When I'm at college, my friends and I average about 3 games a night.

Very nice. Looks great. Time to take this off the list of things to do.

I avoided watching the WIP so that when it was published, I could see the whole thing in one sitting. And it was worth it- absolutely fantastic, especially for a first timer. So many moves which were unnecessary yet put in to make it more entertaining.
