I just meant for changes in path. Like, are there any things TSA avoids because they rely too much on luck(similar to the Legend of Zelda path he avoided), or something similar? It seems to me that the route is pretty solid...

Using it as a model, what changes would be made, other than no blue mail?

Indeed. It looks great, a lot of improvements from the last one. The only thing that kind of bothered me was that it seemed like a lot of hits were taken which could have been avoided, but they didn't take away from your time. I vote this game having the ugliest characters of any game, Michael topping them off. I also vote it having the most "final bosses". When you killed demon, I thought it'd be over. Then when you killed whoever was next, I thought it'd be over. Then there were about 4 more of those. Good show, yes from me.

Alright, it all sounds great. I understand about not optimizing fights due to a test run, I'd do the same. I improperly named an accessory. By sight cap, I meant the accessory that Lucca comes with which allows you to see enemy HP. I remember seeing the HP for some time, but you may taken it off once you got a later accessory, so disregard that. Can't wait for the next update.

If you post what you have so far, you may find tips people have for you, or it may inspire people to also make one.

I tend to not keep up with the more in depth threads until I watch the game, so most of the notes I jotted down were referenced by you previously. The most consistent questionable area is defiintely the critical attacks. Is this still a test movie for you? If so, you should test out every little possibility of this area before the next movie. I know you've tested it a lot, but some other things to keep in mind may be a) when the battle begins, b) if you wait to let an ally move before the one you want to crit, c) if you wait to let an enemy move before the one you want to crit, d) party order, e) moving the cursor around before attacking, ex. not just waiting to select the target. They are even seldom used when unnecessary. For example, on one of the first imps you fight you crit when it's overkill. Perhaps if you tested what causes crits to NOT happen rather than happen, it may lead you on the right path. In the forest coming back from 600AD castle, was lucca's shot during the first fight necessary? Could you wait for them to reposition to become affected by the cyclone? You covered leveling at the bush. I figured it was anticipating the nagas but wasn't sure. I'm glad to hear you won't be collecting the out of the way items in jail. The race: did you conclude if you can use L/R the first time around? You mentioned you weren't going to let him pass you in the final version. If you manage this, I'd suggest that you do let him pass you at the last moment, so you can surprise the viewer by boosting by him at the last second. Agreed that the multiple acid/alkaline fight can be improved. In fact at some point, you have chrono attack a green one(I think these are the acids) when it is at 6 damage. You take some health off, and then robo hits him for 6 anyway. Chrono's attack could have been avoided. I feel like I remember reading your reasoning for doing this, but couldn't find it. You use the sight cap, right? Why? That's all I had for questions. This looks great, I only wish it was in English so you could follow the fantastic storyline as well. I think you have a good eye for things which can be more entertaining but are unnecessary, such as running through the two imps kicking the rolypoly rather than around. I also never knew you could run between the masks(two-face is it maybe?) in the prison. Ice water really crushes everything in Magus' castle, I don't know what you refer to it not working against other than bosses. As long as you hit the jugglers with chrono before casting it, you shouldn't have any problems. Though it really is a huge time difference to get frog to be able to cast water... I guess it's something to test for the final version.

And if the mayor of minnesota supports it... you know it's important.

But consider the fact that had he not taken the suit, he would have likely died for health reasons(though you'd probably be more careful at ganon). He would not have been able to use this run, and would have had to either settle for one which may be slower or commit a lot more of his time to one which matched this time.

Yeah it really is great, that's a great route. You must have been on the edge of your seat fighting the final boss.

Awesome, then the only question remaining is about the bumpers. The first time(and only time I remember) I noticed this is was the first level, where the bumpers are in a U shape. I was wondering if hitting the most upper left bumper from the right, and using the velocity to then hit one of the bottom bumpers to bounce back up before you reach the other wall.

Should this run get published, it will probably end up under my favorites. A yes from me. There were some notes I jotted down, but given how thorough your points are I'm not sure how many are possible. Sometimes I felt like you didn't jump on a monster as soon as you could, to get a boost earlier. This first became obvious to me at the end of the 2nd(or maybe 3rd) level, where you jump on the last monster towards the center of him- it may just be that the hitboxes are irregular. There were a few times I wondered if you could have used the bouncing squares to your advantage, by hitting them from the side to get a boost. You didn't seem to hit the first bagel brother as soon as possible, actually passing through him before beginning to strike him. This could have just been due to the wacky needs of the sword, though. Also, it seemed that while sometimes they remained white, showing that they were always taking damage, they often flickered brown as well. You said you had to always get the no-hit bonuses early on for one of the warps, but I think you got a few later on, as well. And lastly, personally I would prefer that the movie be ended as early as possible, before you(as the fly) are even stuck in the 1-square hole. But as noted, this would be debatable. I agree with all your favorite levels- the fly levels were my personal favorite. Were there any suits that we never got to see? I played this game a lot awhile ago, but can't remember much of it. I also thought that the first skateboarding level(through the long, horizontal level) could have had more in the times when you were just gliding along the top. But that's not a big deal. Great job.

I don't think I ever read the comics, maybe a couple... and I was a huge fan, since being a huge fan as a child is practically represented by how many TV shows you watch and how many toys you own.

Sounds like great stuff, I guess it showed in almost an entire minute of improvement.

I only saw the third once, and remember nothing about it except that I disliked it. The 2nd was always my favorite(mostly due to Tokah and Rahzar I thikn). I also used to be obsessed with a broadway play about the turtles, which I remember nothing about it.

After finally having seen them all, I too think that one should be put on the best list, as they're all done superbly. My personal choice would be Josh's, due to the use of glitches and clones.

Is there a specific place(Phil might have to convey this information through genisto) in which the frames are saved, or is it spread out?

orz is just part of online slang. Just take it off of any word you see it on. For example "suxorz" would become "sux" which means "sucks". I didn't see any recent usage in this thread so I can't clarify in any specific usage.

In fact, being known for video games isn't always a good thing. When people who work in my building found out that I broke the SMB WR (it was on the front page of the newspaper), I'm 99% positive that I lost points with a girl that I had been eying...
Sorry but that's just funny. Really moreso because that made it on the front page of a newspaper.
Skill at playing games obviously helps in both cases. I do buy the argument that less skill is necessary to make an impressive looking time attack. This is one of the reasons it is appealing. I'd be very surprised if the authors of the best time attacks are not very skilled at real time play as well.
I won't lie, I'm really not very good at games(though I've been playing them consistently since the age of 4 or 5). I don't make time attacks to counteract this, I view it completely independently: if I was better I'd still make them. Also, I think the best way to put it is that everybody who is good at games in realtime could make a time attack(with some practice), but not everyone who is good at making a time attack is necessarily good at games. The difference with the lip syncing comparison is that there is an assumption that they are legitimately singing, and it is their voice we are hearing. We purposely go out of our way to avoid any misconceptions. I actually owned both of Skip's tapes, along with some of the Game Player's tapes. So very, very funny. I was talking about this in the IRC channel, but on one of the Game Player's tapes(which there has been an auction on ebay for forever), they do a run for a game called Amagon. The ENTIRE time, they use slow motion, which is made obvious by the jerky visuals and sound. And they never once mention it.

The previous version just was not played very well. The player on more than one occasion completely stopped to attack an enemy that did not affect the gameplay, as well as hesitating at quite a few of the jumping sections.
Agreed. This was in my opinion the least well done movie that I ever saw on the site. I'm very happy somebody took it upon themselves to improve it- I haven't watched it yet but will be sure to soon.

What do you mean by keywords? If you're up for luck manipulation, I think the dwarf was able to do the most damage but take the least. If you're looking for a meatshield, the female ogre would be best. Those are both in the club however, and it takes awhile to walk all the way down and up the stairs. The two male ogres suck I believe. Later on, you may want to get the furry. Can't help much with spells, don't remember I'd say investing points in firearms is a necessity. Body may not be necessary with luck manipulation. Charisma if you're going for mercs. Negotiation, tough to say. If you're going to be leveling a lot in one spot for awhile to get levels for stat points(the ogres at the docks give a whole lot, you can get 2 on the screen at one time, as well as 2 magicians who give hardly anything- I played the game a bit ago and used this spot), you might not need negotiation because you'll be getting money at the same time. I think you'll have to make a test run of this game to test things such as leveling spots, and how much money will be available for equipment(caryards will be ESSENTIAL). I don't think grenades will be necessary, if they are it will probably only be because you're at such a low level in the caryards. You'll probably need to buy something to hold you off until the shotgun, and that should last you until the assault rifle found in the volcano. Need for armor will have to be determined in the test run. I'm not very familiar with the implants. Good luck, I think this should look good.

An aesthetic run might be fun. Can you pull your goalie, for example? Maybe an opposing player could take a shot at the empty goal, and then you check an enemy into the path of the puck, blocking it, then steal it from them. You could also have it so everybody piles onto you in a corner, yet somehow you manage to pass the puck out from in the middle of everyone and score a goal. Scoring a goal from across the ice would look great as well, though it would not be likely.

Yeah, TheAxeMan really said it for me. Getting perfect shot accuracy is a lot easier than you might think. I definitely look forward to the next project, I did like this one, but there are problems which I think will be solved in the next one which will make it a definite yes for me.

Blades, of Steel! But I don't think there are many sports games which could be very entertaining- after every point you start the same way, as you said it could become very repetitive.

That is a different case because Zoizite adds an additional category to his movie. If Arc made a fast-as-possible movie not using warps(the current movie on the site), and then Zoizite came along and made a movie which was faster and used warps, it would be up to the community to decide which they would favor- this debate was had, and it seems like it was concluded that warps are accepted, acknowledging that any current runs not using them will be updated to use them. Now say this movie by Zoizite was published, and Arc made a movie which was faster. If it didn't use warps, that would be very impressive because it beat a run that did, and would probably be published. If it did use warps, it would still be faster, and also likely be published. Does that help?

I don't think he's looking for criticisms- I think he's just doing it for himself, for fun, and offered his run up for anyone that wanted to see it.
