Wow, that's very cool. Sad though considering I'm working on a run :(
If it's possible to fix with hex-editing, and if someone with the skills is willing and nice enough to do that for me that would be awesome. If not, I will just continue the run with the pause problem, even though it will get annoying

I think it only works at the front of the lava pits, and when you are ON the platform in the middle, like if you drop onto it from the bridge. The sides of the lava and the back apparently don't activate it.

I would make one, but my encoding skills are very poor =[. It would probably need gln64/direct64 to work for you. Hopefully someone with encoding skills takes up your offer though.
Also, SL is working on a DoT skip/RBA TAS which will beat the game as fast as possible, as opposed to mine which shows all the recent TAS-only temple/trial glitches/tricks that typically wouldn't be used nowadays because of the DoT skip/RBA

=] Thanks a lot. Yeah, I tried to make the Dodongo fight as entertaining as possible since you have a lot of time to stand around.
First it gets skipped by just avoiding going near the lava. Then it gets skipped when you jumpslash down off the bridge and land in his mouth after you light the eyes

1) The goal of the superslide was to superslide using the hit from the tektite. I found that sidehopping off was the fastest way to reach it, the wall just happened to be in the way, so i used it to stop me and lead me down to the tektite.
2) The hole reset the position of the cucco I used to get behind the fence, what Yautja said. It turned out a lot faster to just use the cucco, since sidehopping off the tower meant me backtracking and climbing up that long ladder.
3) Thanks a lot, I try to keep the run entertaining without gaining any frames =]
Also chaosv1 thanks a lot I appreciate the compliments. Which cutscene exactly are you talking about?

For anybody who is interested, here's my current WIP. It's just entering Hyrule Castle, the previous WIP was in the Spirit Temple. One major mistake I am aware of is that I had to make an extra pause to equip the slingshot which costed me ~5.5 seconds. This is because I assumed incorrectly that I could do the owl skip at Hyrule Castle with the sword/stick instead of slingshot/stick.. -_- ... so i didn't equip the slingshot when I had the chance to back in Dodongo's Cavern.
Anyways, comments/suggestions/improvisations for future reference would be very helpful. Thanks

BTW, don't forget to activate Mempak.

Does anyone know of where I can find a video of rolling into Jabu? Or at least does anyone know the approximate whereabouts of the spot to roll? Or if it's even possible?

Yes! I found out a much faster strategy for lighting the eyes, about 3 seconds faster. I'm really happy with the method I used but I would prefer to hear some opinions on it so that I don't find myself having to come back later due to someone finding a faster way. So please if you have any ideas at all for improvement or if you think it's the fastest way then post your thoughts. Thanks

Yeah there is actually. If you go to the top of that tower where the man normally stands when you're an adult, you can sidehop left and fall directly on the fence that blocks it off. When you're up there just Z-lock yourself into the very left corner and you should land perfectly. It probably wouldn't save any time though, since the time climbing that ladder is just as much as if you were to take the closest cucco.

I don't have the bombchus to spare :(
Other jumps don't work unfortunately, they don't give you enough distance under the top of his mouth =\. Guano uses bombchus at the start because he has the bombchus to spare, and he gets the silver gauntlets so that he has bombs to kill Dodongo and does bombchu bowling. With new ways of getting to the bombs i'm almost 100% sure it's faster to just get the bombs now.
When I get home later I will test other strategies but I'm still open for any suggestions

I just finished lighting the eyes in Dodongo's Cavern in my run but i'm really skeptical on whether or not this part is optimal.. It's the fastest strategy that i could come up with. Normally when you throw the bomb in an eye, the time for it to explode resets to 4 seconds once it hits the eye. So I was able to get around that but something tells me this can be improved, but i don't know what it is. If anyone has any suggestions please tell

I think Manocheese tried it and it didn't work and said that it wasn't doable on the SDA forums, and that's where everyone has been getting the idea that it doesn't work. If it really does work then it beats me what he was trying to do haha

Well if you let go of R during the cut scene, you fall into the void. If you wait until after the cut scene and let go of R, you fall through the ground and die. I tested it for an hour or so but I guess I'll ask him

As long as you have an item in a bottle then you can play most items as an ocarina even if you never obtain the ocarina. Have the bottled item in your hand, backflip, and while in air press the C-button that has the bottled item, then the button of whichever item you would like to play as the ocarina and you will pull it out and start playing it.
About the hover boots, getting them as a kid takes a ton of bombchus and time in order to get them. He was saying that it could be faster to do whatever trade sequence you need to get whatever item needed to RBA a warp song to get out of the ToT instead.

Yeah I haven't seen that mentioned before either, that's a really good idea.
Also I tried the DC superslide and I can't get it to work without dying :( I don't think it's possible

Yeah it only works as child but that would be incredible if it worked as an adult haha. Vine clipping only works as a kid and I think it's because the animation clips inside for a frame each time he climbs up once so if you get hit it exactly while grabbing it throws you through the vine.
I thought about it and I think I will use that DC glitch because I noticed that a bombchu I was using was saving me less time than that glitch would so I'll try it out. Also thanks a lot for liking my WIP, i'll post another after a while maybe after DC or HC if people wanna see one.

If you are referring to me, the extra bombchu is needed in the Forest Temple as adult Link to do the boss key skip, so no. That's an awesome trick but i'm sure it only saves about 5 seconds, which is less than I could save by implementing that bombchu elsewhere. Thanks for the advice though
I think the person that couldn't get AKA's video to sync was DaShizNawz for AKA's superslide m64. And yeah I have MemPak enabled and wasn't aware since I began the run when I had first started TAS-ing so i wasn't knowledgeable of that. There's nothing I can do about it now since when I disable Mempak the run desynchs, unless someone knows a way around that.

Holy fuck, i'll update you on that. lol
Edit: I'll give that a shot, but first i'll make sure which route would be faster, the old one, or the new one. The new one involves me skipping having to talk to the guard and puts off getting magic until i'm an adult and greatly reduces my child route time. But then it increases my adult time since i wouldn't have farore's wind to get around faster. Bleh, i'll need to give it a couple days of research and thinking.

I tried everything including angling the superslide perfectly to backflip onto the brick ledge, and bombchu damage boosting up, but still i need another 1.5 seconds faster or so in order to get up there in time. Haha and no i tried to do a bombchu megaflip through the crack before it was fully shut but still i needed more time for that.
After the goron ruby time gets reset to noon, giving me 1:24 to get there in time. From what I remember, Guano's WIP made it BARELY, but I no longer have that video so i don't fully remember if he made it in time. Does anybody remember?

Rupee Route
Deku Tree
Superslide to Gerudo Valley
Cucco Jump
Haunted Wasteland
Spirit Temple
Leave - learn Requim of Spirit
Re-enter, complete - all the way up until Bombchus
-------------------
Warp out of temple
Death warp to house
Lost woods, bombchu rocks into Goron City
Bombchu into Dodongo's Cavern
Bombchu wall in Dodongo's Cavern
Bombchus 1,2,3Dodongo's Cavern
Ground jump to switch with Bombchu + Bomb Flower
Continue.. use bombchu megaflip for Bomb Bag early
Continue until end of dungeon
Kill Dodongo
Bombchus 4,5,6
--------------------
Superslide to Kakariko
Get bottle from chicken lady
Go to Hyrule castle, skip egg
Bombchu damage boost into Hyrule Castle
Finish Zelda cut scenes
Superslide to Zora's River
Bombchu rocks
Buy a seed from the seed seller
Cucco up to Zora's Domain
Bombchu megaflip past King Zora
Jumpslash into Jabu Jabu's Belly
Bombchus 7,8,9
Jabu Jabu's Belly
Continue regularly until boomerang, bring Ruto into room with moving platform
Megaflip to skip miniboss
Continue until Barinade, defeat Barinade
---------------------
Warp to Spirit Temple, plant seed
Death warp to house, superslide to castle
Become Adult Link
That's another route I came up with, although there's one problem. Does anybody know if it's possible to enter Hyrule Castle right after finishing Dodongo's Cavern with the time provide? If possible that would involve molesting superslides in every possible spot

Anyway does anyone have any suggestions as to how the child route i posted could be improved?
Edit: Turns out that bombchu supersliding to the castle right after the spirit temple is impossible in TAS, since the time spent outside the spirit temple is too much and lets time pass barely enough so that you can't reach the castle bridge in time, just by 1.5 seconds though :(. So I'm going to need to find an alternate child route which can be pretty tough considering the circumstances of the run
