Maybe it's because I grew up in a German-speaking community in America but here of course everyone can pronounce that correctly. (I say "here" even though I live elsewhere now...)

Can you ride the shyguys up into 7-2? The game would still think it's 1-1 probably but then you'd see Wart die.

Not just any ocarinas, sweet potato ocarinas!
I own a sweet potato ocarina. The single octave rage is really annoying but it has a nice sound and is easy to play.

Nintendo Entertainment Music doesn't make much sense.. I think it would be better as Music Entertainment System to avoid using the Nintendo name and to make more sense and sound more like NES, but that's just me.

Since Mukki brought up products I thought I'd mention there's also a diet drink released by Coke in Japan named after me, but it's no longer in production as far as I know.

There is not only another Boco in the world but another Boco who uses the number 47 to differentiate. It's kind of weird that we've clashed over the name Boco before so we fall back to boco47, in such a way that sometimes he's Boco and I'm boco47 and sometimes I'm Boco and he's boco47.

I'm pretty sure it's because he hadn't yet bought good engines. Moving around in realspace and quasispace doesn't consume fuel, only moving in hyperspace, moving to/from quasispace, and landing on planets.

I first played this game about 2 or 3 days ago, and I really really liked it. But I don't like this run because I have no idea what's going on. I would like to see this same route, but using the 3DO version or whatever version it is that has the voice acting, and I'd like to see the dialog that was skipped here instead kept in (with the voice acting used to advance automatically and entertainingly). The dialog will add tons and tons of entertainment, especially with the stellar voice acting, and clue people who are less familiar with the game in on what's going on.

The pressing down thing is in Super Metroid.. in this game, the ship is just a foreground object and the missile and health restore are the same items that do that in-game but on either end of the ship one inside. I think the end game works by picking up an end-game object that's just inside the ship (it's a different ship than the starting one), so you'd only need to fall in, but I might be wrong.

It looks like the programmers took the NES game, said "Well this looks good, and we don't really want to think any harder about making a new game, so lets just make the levels a little longer, spice up the graphics, and shove this baby out the door!"
The arcade game was before both versions, and the NES game was made by a different company (acting under license).. so it's more like "Well, that NES port sucked, why don't we make ours closer to the arcade version, which we also created?"

I just downloaded the any%-run from SDA, but since I'm so good/tool assisted, I might be able to skip some of the items he picks up, we'll see.
I've only seen it very long ago so I don't remember, but which items would you skip? My first thought is E-tanks. How many do you need to do the acid dive (can you farm energy during the dive to take fewer?), and which ones are along the way before you get to that point?

This looked like a normal playthrough that happened to use rerecords. It's a nice looking movie, but since there could be so much better for the game I'm going to have to vote no. You seemed to have inconsistent goals. You got forcefield but you shouldn't, you destroyed some but not all of the red suns, when dodging enemies in level 2 you didn't go inside the ones that loop in a sine pattern, you destroyed too many enemies in level 2 and not enough in level 1, etc. I didn't watch past level 2 bosses because the second of them was destroyed too late. Please start with clearer goals in mind, use idle time for entertainment, and post WIPs in a thread on this forum for feedback on small sections.

Isn't it sequel to Super Metroid?
Maybe it's just how I view the story. Metroid: The Space Pirates steal the Metroid from SR-388 and begin a breeding program. Samus stops them. Their facility on Zebes explodes. Focus of the game: exploration, a hostile environment built by intelligent antagonists. Metroid II: Immediately thereafter, having firsthand experienced the Metroid threat, Samus decides to exterminate all Metroids, and travels to SR-388. The Metroid lifecycle is exposed, and all Metroids are eradicated except one fresh hatchling. Focus of the game: horror, an unstable alien environment, extermination. Super Metroid: The hatchling is studied, but then the Space Pirates capture it and take it to Zebes to continue their breeding program. This is mostly the same story and setting as the first Metroid, but vastly expanded and updated. Focus is again on exploration and defeating an intelligent threat. Metroid Fusion: All Metroids are dead. Samus leads an expidition to SR-388 only to discover the Metroid's natural food source, the X. X infests a research sattelite and kills all inhabitants, reanimating them as zombies. Samus must disable the X and salvage as much of the facility as possible. Later she discovers a Metroid breeding program that features the natural Metroid lifecycle. Themes: horror, zombies, extermination. So 1 and 3 are closely tied due to setting and themes, and 2 and 4 are closely tied due to setting (even one of the artificial environments is a recreation of SR-388) and themes.

I had the same experience. I really like this game because it's a horror game and a sequel to Metroid II, but it doesn't seem to handle speedruns or at least 100% collection very well.

Would a "Challenges" section on TASVideos be acceptable? I like the idea of limiting yourself, like a Swordless Zelda run, and seeing how fast people can get through the game like this. Maybe you could merge it with the Hacks/Concept Demos section.
Well, there's already a board on these forums dedicated to it...

Section 5 explains the route and 6 explains how to beat each boss.. so I imagine reading those over will tell you what's different and how to make up that time.

1925, I used guesses on (spoilers) Commando, Gumshoe, and Wrecking Crew. Why were so many of the early games military? I thought a lot of the earlier ones were more obscure than the later ones, especially Ninja Gaiden, isn't that a well-known game?

If your encoding the movie for the submission only when you have the Accepted submission. So, you can encode the video into AVI like the rerecording emulator. ZSNES will encode the AVI videos. Putting in the best quality of videos will have more size of the videos. If your gonna encode this videos, read the How to Make AVI below. I was making my AVI videos for my game playback.

Oh goodie! I want to see some more EXTREME ACUPUNCTURE pictures!
It's not going to be more pics from the same series as that one. It's going to be more pics of Eile, either all as Model X or unarmored official art, or maybe her sprite in each of the models from Rockman ZX.
OK, done. Edit: This one's a lot less obvious. Model X: Standard, gaming Humanoid: Relaxed, unguarded Model Zx: Impulsive, emotional Model Hx: Knowledgable, serious Model Lx: Joking, playful Model Fx: Harsh, direct Model Px: Distant, guarded Model 0x: Honest
