Hmm, I think I will make use of this feature! But I need to make slightly smaller versions of all my icons if I do. (lesse, I have 'Soyons heureux sans en avoir l'air' #5 which I've been using here, and then there's the Alia one I'm going to make plus these five: http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=boco )

I personally really don't like dogs, and I think it is for that second reason (I'm really afraid of them because when I was young I had a really vivid dream about one attacking me... most of the things I'm afraid of are because of dreams).

Very funny. Are you going to follow this up with "Ocarina of Time Sucks Ass" and "Chrono Trigger Blows Bad"? Why not sarcastically attack each and every game the gaming world considers a classic?
Chrono Trigger was fun, but is a really short game, and certaintly isn't the legendary RPG it was advertised as. Definitely in the top 100 games of the SFC and probably in the upper half. But it's not the best game in the world. Ocarina of Time I played twice. The first time I kept wandering around the start area and I couldn't find the sword,a dn I spend like 45 minutes wandering around and couldn't find it. The next time I had someone else get it for me and then I got lost in the tree.

I just watched this WIP and I really like it. I need to buy this game sometime. The quiz game wasn't very entertaining though. You should have made up a new rhythm with the right number of presses.

Did you try to right-click and save-as that URL from here? The microstorage works a little differently, so you click into it and then there's another download link. (of course I didn't try the file to make sure it worked so that might not be the problem at all, that's just what I immediately thought of)

The Old spell has the following equation: Hit% = 90 + caster level - target's level Evade% = target's MEvade Chance to hit = Hit% * (1 - Evade%) L2 Old is an autohit which bypasses immunity so levels don't matter (as long as the target's level is even).

Black Shock is 1/2 level to target L2 Old inflicts Aging status, even if the target's immune, to even-level targets Aging status continuously drains level, so L5 Death can, even if the target's immune, kill to 5-multiple-level targets All three spells are Blue. The Jikuu spell Old can be used instead of L2 Old, but it'd need to be manipulated to make sure it works. (its hit formula is based on the difference between the caster's level and the target's so Black Shock might help).

I can't see anything. The "super detailed whatevers" all blend into the background and each other and everything is the same color and I can't see anything. And I can't see distance because I don't know how big anything is supposed to be and I can't just move my head a little to find out how far away it is because the camera doesn't work that way. And I can't just move where I want to go because there'll be some complicated control scheme that either means I'm stuck facing forward all the time so I can't see behind me or above me or where my feet are or in the distance or anywhere, or I'm in some 3rd person perspective where the camera moves and so the way I move changes depending on where I am, and anyway, I can't DO anything in the game because it won't let me aim for myself and when I use the autoaim or lockon or whatever it always misses because it doesn't understand how to predict the target's movements. I don't think the problem here is me.

Hm, sometimes I like things because they're older, or I saw / read / played them during an emotional time or whatever, but I don't think that's true for a good portion of things I like. Like, I played FF7 shortly after it came out (to completion), and didn't like it, and played the FF8 demo along with Brave Fencer Muashiden (BFM is awesome, FF8 significantly less so), yet FF9 was an actually good 3D FF game, so my favorite 3D FF is the 3rd I played... I don't like 3D games, and I don't think I'd like video games at all if I grew up in the 3D generation. They disorient me, give me headaches, are too complicated or hard to play, etc.

Yeah, it's only in the Japanese version (i own both, it's fun to battle with a Japanese version and a US version and use the Prism bug, because both sides thinks they've won and will generate rewards appropriately)

EXE1 can easily be completed using Gutstreet, and EXE2 with the Prism bug.

I also didn't like Metroid Prime that much, but I only ever played it once. I kept getting lost (which is fine for a Metroid game, that's why there's a map) and exploring,a nd it was OK, but I couldn't aim at all (autoaim in games never ever works for me) and I couldn't jump at all and I ended up drowning in lava in some jumping puzzle where I couldn't see my feet. EDIT: But I'm really, really bad at 3D games in general, so that's probably a lot of it. If I had a Gamecube I'd probably play through the game just to see it all, even though the music sucks and the game is nothing like other Metroid games, and I don't like 3D games. So it's not a terrible game. Just, music is a huge part of the game experience for me, and I get really disoriented in 3D games.

I started playing again a little bit, mostly in draft, and I'm really impressed with the current sets. They;re not nearly as bad as some things I've seen before. Sure, some combos are ridiculously good or easy (2 card "opponent never untaps" combo in Time Spiral, 2 card "mill 50 cards in 2 turns" combo in Ravnica) but on the whole, commons are playable (good and not gamebreaking) and rares aren't superbroken like hapened in the past (Urza's).

12, Lag was rejecting your claim that the power level between sets is held constant by showing similar cards with wildly varying costs (where the newer is always the cheaper or better in some other way). He wasn't saying that any of those was broken.

To be fair, the Legends expansion sucked almost universally. Good ideas (with Legends and World and multicolor and the like), but bad almost everything else. But yeah, Mana Prism vs Prismatic Lens, etc. But it's getting a lot better from Kamigawa forward. There are still a lot of super powerful or undercosted things, like Loxodon Warhammer (+3/+0, trample, and spirit link, for 3 colorless... why was anything from Mirrodin reprinted? am I the only person who thinks that set was a mistake?), but most of the stuff from sets Kamigawa and forward are nice (from what I've seen).

Now you have to kill all blockers before you can assign overflow. Before you only had to kill one.

Also intturputs aren't quite the same as split seconds, because NOTHING can respond to split seconds, but interupts can be responded too.
Yeah, kinda, but Interrupts can only be responded to by Interrupts, and once anything in a batch goes unresponded to the entire thing resolves under LIFO, so it shuts down the stack and prevents further additions.

But yes, Mark Rosewater says they have very strict rules about keeping the power level of cards constant, and the game isn't any more broken than it used to be.

Wow, Magic has changed a lot! I keep making fun of new Magic for all the changes I've seen from outside but I don't think all of them are bad. From what I've seen of Kamigawa, Ravnica, Coldsnap, and Time Spiral, there aren't flagrant power changes and abuses like Urza's (which I've now seen is generally considered a huuugely overpowered mistake - some article on MTG.com said that if the "free" mechanic was removed they'd only need to ban like 11 other cards, XD) and the game is genuinely fun again. I got that impression when I played in a Kamigawa draft (and an opposite one when I played in a Mirrodin draft). And this thread, and some of my friends who've played more recently, convinced me to look a little ahrder at the newer parts of the game. (a friend of mine kept insisting "Magic isn't broken, and it's not a bad game,, it's just a lot faster than it used to be, and blocks are a lot more important than they used to be") Anyway the point of this post is that I really dind't realise how much of the basic parts of the game had changed. I've been reading a bit online and all sortsof stuff is different. I used to be a judge back in Revised, but....... Interrupts are gone (though they're abck in Time Spiral as "Split Second"), there's this "stack" thing, that's all fine. Creature types don't ahve special rules (and Walls don't exist anymore??) but that's fine. They nerfed trample, but I guess it WAS pretty powerful... But the change that made me be all like "what? what? I have to post about that!" was this: Tapped blockers deal damage now!? (edit: and tapped artifacts still work? I think I'd need to forget everything I know about the game to play it again) Wow the game has changed. I guess tapping for an effect on a creature meant to block is no longer costed to interact with taht creature's power. I was going to make more FF-based cards (an entire 150-card set, with me and some friends of mine) and I was going to use that, but I guess it's changed since then. Wow.

I cleaned up the Megaman templating because earlier this week I learned about Imprint. Megaman 4 Legendary Artifact Creature - Robot 1/2 Imprint - Whenever a creature dealt damage by Megaman this turn is put into a graveyard, you may remove it from the game. (The removed card is imprinted on this artifact.) Megaman has all activated abilities of each imprinted card. T: Megaman deals 1 damage to target creature. I was thinking of upping the P/T to 1/3 so he'd be direct-damage immune (in these days of no Lightning Bolt) and adding a hilarious drawback to compensate (Whenever a Spike deals damage to Megaman, destroy Megaman). But I don't know if you really want to make him that hard to get rid of. Also that would make the text box too long (something I ignored when messily templating the FF spells - I think I'll redo them with a cleaner new rule, or using Kicker).

X is 0 whenever you play spells for an alternative cost, though. (usually this is spelled out by the card). Anyway I agree the ability's broken, but so is all Magic between Rath Cycle and Kamigawa.

I thought those were the fault of the NESticle emulator, which was popular at the time. So a more accurate emulator wouldn't set off the "this is a copied cart" portions. But I could be wrong.

I've finished it before and am playing through the GBA version now. The best part about the game is the music which is why the GBA port is so sad to me. Mother 2 (and Mother 3) is a much better game but this one isn't a bad one,,, I don't think a TAS would be very entertaining though, since most of the fun in playing the game is all the dialogue that would be skipped.

It would be nice if the GBA version was not used for this game.. the music quality has seriously dropped (and this is a game composed by Hip Tanaka so the music is awesome). Anyway the GBA version has nothing new compared to the English version, only stuff new from a Japanese perspective.
