I'm sure you've tested these things but.. a lot of this run looks rather sloppy, especially concerning when damage is taken and how sometimes you will miss attacks. I haven't personally tested to try and optimise it better but it seems while watching it that a lot can be improved. Maybe it's part fo the nature of the game (slightly sloppy coding and physics, though much improved from Cybermission's) that what looks sloppy is actually optimised but I think a lot can be changed to if not increase the speed at least preserve it while increasing the style. Once I'm freed of this mountain of homework (this is posted while at library writing essays due in 45 minutes) I'll do a little testing and see if I'm able to improve any of it. Probably not, but that might be more that I suck rather than that it's not improvable.

Try it. Finish a level with Garlic or Bull or Dragon Wario and compare to Bunny Wario. There's a HUGE difference in how fast the pole laps are done. Now, whether the benefits of Bull outweigh that.. keeping in mind that changing hats causes quite a bit of delay... I think it requires a lot of planning.

....in what ways can C++ be more efficient than C? I'm not really understanding. Easier to use and work with, maybe, better maybe, but more efficient?

It plays for me, too, and I had the same idea, but when I ran it by Kaitou he said that you lose a bit of time on each jump when you land so constant dashing is faster. (I guess that means horizontal velocity is the same in a dash and an UP+jump?)

Hit% = spell% (66) + caster's level - target's level. Roll under that on d%. Then, roll over the target's evade (in this case, 66%). So you need to be high level to hae a chance. So it wouldn't work. Oh well. EDIT: However you could do the same type of thing with the Old spell. This boss doesn't have Aging immunity. Old has a spell% of 90, so you would only need to have the caster be level 8 or above to have a chance to hit (a very, very small chance to hit - a third of a percent for every level above 7 - but with luck manipulation that equals a few frames' delay). Then it's just correctly timing a L5 Death and you're good.

So. By "anything that can play any MP4 can play all MP4s" he meant "some programs, like VLC which can play any file ever, can play these, so you should use VLC". And by "any program that can play .H264 AVI can play .H264 MP4" he meant "in a perfect worl'd everyone would use MP4 because AVI is a depreciated standard".

So. Right. Thanks for glossing over my posts. I can play .H264 fine in MPC but not your MP4s. There's no file extension conflict or any crap like that, and I can play other MP4s like Nach's fine. What does this mean? -MP4 is not so universal as you say. -There is at least one perfectly working system which can play AVI-style .H264 but not MP4-style. So what am I "doing wrong"? Refusing to install Quicktime?

..so, reiterating what I've already posted, if any mp4 can be read by anything that can read any mp4, why can my MPC read Omega's mp4 but not Boat's? EDIT: THe reason turns out to be, as I discovered while using a program to identify and remove duplicate files (cleaned up 3 GB of them), that Omega's "MP4" is just an AVI with the wrong extension. I actually can't play MP4 files.

You can't skip Reina meaningfully. You have to have her to get the Airship which you need to enter the Cleft of Dimension. So you can pick her up later than normal, sure, but not never.
