The next time I'll have time to do this is May. Between moving and finals. Then through summer I should have a little time,, The same kinds of delays happened on Zelda 2 which is why I'm really reluctant to hog an important game like this ^_^;; I'll gladly contribute to planning but actually playing is kind of expensive time-wise.

No, I think it's real. It seems like a revival of the old Fighters' Edge community (points for performing tasks that can be traded for merchandise) but a lot easier to use (because it's all online rather than via mail). Edit: It would be so awesome if I could transfer all of my Fighters Edge points... haha, I would make #1 so easily....

The Shitenou (Kinoshita, Mochitzuki, Taira, and Kobayashi) are the four main bosses of the game.. they all attend Reihou Academy. You can get any of them to join but at the end of the game Yamada kills all of them for betraying him so you have to fight that battle alone. If you can wait that long without a full team you could get Gouda and Godai once you're at Reihou.. ..but again, all of these people need reputation, which you don't really have time to amass.

Would you even be able to get any good allies (= the Shitenou) without spending time to boost your reputation? Edit: Of course you couyld use one of the Omake modes to get techniques. Or mess with other settings to make the gameplay interesting (change gravity to allow for air combos etc).

Why can't you do it yourself? I send you a blueprint of the city and step-by-step instructions. Do it yourself. Edit: Stacking is easy. Set fire to a building, then bulldoze the fires. If one square of the building is left, the game still thinks it's a full building.. but you can now add more buildings on top or parkland etc.

1. Do the money cheat. 2. Pause the game. 3. Build this: http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Lair/3439/stuff/megacity.html 4. Unpause and wait.

SaGa / FFL would be fun to at least plan. Well, the first two. Whether you would rely on luck-manipulating the right abilities of Espers or instead relying on the transformations of Monsters (or some combination) would be pretty interesting. And if you had money of course you could use Humans (in 1) or Robots (in 2) pretty effectively. I really don't know what the best team would be for either game.. but I do know that you can run 2 pretty fast with four Robots.

This game has lots of slowdown unless it's played on Super Game Boy.. but I haven't seen the movie so I don't know what mode it's being run in.

Wait, so because there's 93 games with the word Megaman/Rockman on it, they're all part of one big contiguous series? I don't understand that.
Well, yes. The EXE games (there are at least 13 so far) are in an alternate universe but the rest of the games form one coherent timeline. But that has very little to do with the real claim (that X8 was so horrible) which he has yet to substantiate.

Oh, who hasn't played a hundred games?
Including Rockman Dash Golf, Rockman Space Rescue, Rockman EXE Phantom of Network, etc? Or, less obscurely, Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation, Wily and Right's Rockboard, Rockman Megaworld, The Best of Mega Man, Rockman EXE N1 Battle, Superadventure Rockman, etc?

That's kind of irrelevant to the discussion, I'd think.

Using emulation, I'm sure it's possible to have played every Mega Man/Rockman game out there
I would disagree with that particular assessment. (At least, I don't know of any good cellphone emulators, or counting non-canon games, any Tiger LCD emulators.) But the low estimate of 93 canon titles in the series (as of September 2004) makes it kind of hard to believe anyone who insists on having played them all.

I suppose that fact isn't terribly relavant to julianch's opinion of X8, but everyone's entitled to their own thing, right?
It's not relevant at all. But when I asked for clarification of that opinion, none was given; rather a defense of the easily provably untrue statement.

You have not played every game in the series. Please do not pretend that you have. I respect your opinion even though I really don't see how you arrived at it, as X8 is wonderful. What's poor about it? And what makes it slow compared to other X-series games, excluding the obvious (X7 and Command Mission)?

Anyway, it's also Tim in the Japanese: http://www.geocities.com/boco_xlvii/Gaia_Gensoki-name.png

Tim, Shadow, and Freedan share stats. It doesn't matter which form you take when you get an upgrade.

If I get some free time I want to try X5 and X6 no-boss runs (well, okay, one boss in X6). I'm pretty sure that's the fastest way through both. And I'm also pretty sure that Grand Scarabich is the way to go in X6, because he's easy, has a short level, has Speedster, and has quick access to the alternate route for getting Zero and killing the big cow.
