Why? Because Japanese people like RPGs and Nekketsu games?

If it's the last, I don't know if there is a solution. If it's the second, the solution is to look in your permissions settings and clear all the settings for bisqwit.iki.fi (for Firefox it's Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > Exceptions.. for toher browsers, just look around in your configuration for security or privacy settins)

It may be one of these problems. Your cache stores the non-logged-in page, and you're actually logged in. Your cookie settings prevent you fromlogging in. The Wiki doesn't like the space in your name.

Bisqwit hasn't been encoding the latest batch. Get XViD 1.1 or whatever the version is and you'll be fine.

The reason that time is longer than the commonly discussed SotN times is that those times are measured until the final save point and don't count the last boss battle. In case you were wondering why someone with 13:26 Richter was being posted, when Richter times should be a few minutes shorter.

It seems the exhibit is over now. It was at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, and the exhibit was called "Level X". http://www.syabi.com/level-x/index.html http://www.zyx.com/chrisc/levelxbook.html http://www.zyx.com/chrisc/levelx.html 1,251 games were on display. That's all 1,219 official releases and a select few unofficial releases. There was also video footage of the last-ever Famicom console being constructed in a factory (which happened in 2003).

ctually, I think the roller skates analogy is good. Someone wearing roller skates isn't allowed to compete in the 100-meter dash, for example, just as someone using rerecord isn't allowed in a speedrun competition. But there are separate competitions for people wearing skates, and the people who run don't think the people who can go faster because they have wheels are stealing their glory.

At least one complete copy of every Famicom game ever released exists. There's a museum in Japan that has them all on display, with a bunch playable too.

I am.. not so good. About a 5, maybe 6 foot. Passed about 3 Paranoia mixes, usually with Cs. But hopefully I'll son be able to buy a mix for my PS2 (I recently got some nice pads to use with it) and can practice a bit more before trying arcades again (I don't rank based on home versions, because they're never the exact same as the arcade).

actually, its not really a wiki thing, but specific to this wiki, or the way bisqwit set it up. normally the usernames are simply linked and will end up in the edit-me-page (the one the question mark leads to now). the questionmark simply indicates that the user has not set up his page yet... the questionmark allows easy editing, while giving the indication that the userpage does not yet exist.
Every Wiki I've ever used uses a ? to mark linked-to-but-nonexistant pages.

And those of us who already know what the disclaimer says won't have to sit through the 6 second pause.
I wasn't envisioning it as a pause. The splashscreen we have now goes at the beginning for a half-second or whatever it is, then the disclaimer is a subtitle along with the movie information for 4~6 seconds.. like it already is now. Wat we're arguing (or should be) is the content.. and there was already a topic about that...

True, but it would make more sense to write "edit" or something like that instead of ? I mean, one can't really know what clicking in question mark does, but if the link would say EDIT, it would be obvious what it does.
Blame the creators of Wiki.

That's the purpose of an Orphans page.. so you can get to all of the content even if it's not linked anywhere.

One suggestion though. Make the whole "personal page?" part a link, instead of just the question mark in it. Same with the "Logged in as xxx?" part on the left side. [...] Wiki Orphans. What's the deal with that page? The desciption doesn't tell me much. Is it good or bad to have my personal page listed in there?
The reason the ? is a link is because the page referenced doesn't exist (yet), so the ? is a link to the editor for that page. An orphan is a page with no links to it, so the Orphans page is the only way to know that it even exists.

I think he's been much more civil here than he ahs been at GameFAQs. The only problem I have with his post here is that 10 seconds is a bit long (don't you think? the current disclaimer lasts for 5, and I think that's long enough) and "hoax" does not desribe these videos (though it's preferable to "fake" or "cheat"). But really, there's already a discussion about this: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=336

I love it. It's everything I dreamed it would be. Well, that is, after the rest of the functionality is added, but what's already up and running seems to be most of it. Good job ^_^ Hopefully your workload wil only go down from here.. you need a break ^_^ Have a good holiday!

I think that's why Capcom nerfed the effectiveness of the master weapons after this game, so most would take seven hits from the correct weapon to kill.
That kind of thing didn't happen until the 3rd game. There are quite a few and 3 hit kills in Rockman 2.

So freeze that value at some number under the "next random battle" number. I don't know if VirtuaNES can freeze values but I know most emulators with built-in cheat functions can. I'm assuming you're planning on getting in a battle and levelling everything you need to level (swords to max for Firionel, if not all characters, would be the only thing I'd do, really) before you disable random battles?

You err. The Castlevania series and Contra series were recently rereleased. The Mega Man series rereleases (again) today. Not all of the videos on this site are of "abandoned" games.

Dan_, Keep reading. Ninty says that the statement does not interfere with statutory rights, and therefore your statutory right to create backup and archival copies is protected, and the entire warning is meaningless and only meant to scare people from doing it.
