Gotcha. Maybe I missed on what kind of emulator they were using. I was just checking. I don't want to submit a PlayStation run just for it to get rejected because "you weren't using the right version" or something like that.

Hey guys. Working on a PlayStation TAS right now, and I've got a couple of questions concerning validity of the TAS. 1. Using Bizhawk 2.3.1, I'm using the ps-30a.bin for the firmware. 2. For the game I'm currently working on, I can get it to play using the cue file (with the bin file of course), but with each TAS that I look up on this site, I'm seeing people using the bin file to actually play, and not the cue file. My main question is under these circumstances, would that make for a valid TAS, i.e., one that would be accepted?

Does this game have a mercy rule? I think that would make a better objective for a submission for this game...
As far as I can tell, there's no mercy rule in this game. I've even tried to look it up online, and nothing.

I seem to remember that the batter can move around in the box. If so, can that affect how you hit the ball?
Unfortunately you can't. The only way you can "aim" where the ball is hit is your timing of hitting it. As it stands, this game is very...primitive. EDIT: If this run somehow gets accepted, I guess I can change the submission comments, if needed.

Balls were thrown because of bad luck mainly. No matter how much I tried to manipulate the luck, the ball would've either missed my bat completely, or it would've resulted in a foul ball, which is far slower than deliberately missing the ball.

Normally I'd say yes, but given what day it is, it makes me nervous.

This website deserves more 100% runs of Zelda games. Also I can see people getting seizures from that water glitch!

How are you able to skip the title screen? I remember that you couldn't do it when you first turn on the game. How did you do it?

I don't know what you guys are talking about, but I actually enjoyed this. It's about as entertaining as the other Final Fantasy games, so I see no reason as to why it shouldn't be accepted. Yes vote, and I would actually vote against having it just in a vault.

How is it that we have a 100% run of both New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and a hacked version of New Super Mario Bros., but not a 100% run of the actual New Super Mario Bros.? How did this happen?

Why use cheat codes at all anyway? This game seems smooth enough that it would make an entertaining run without them. As it stands, I second what most people say about cheat codes. Voting no.

Sorry guys. I got a new problem. So I decided to start on a TAS that I'm planning to submit to this website sometime in the future. Everything starts turning out fine until I switch the movie to read-only mode, I try to load a state, and I get this error message that says: Fatal Error: NullReferenceException EmuHawk has thrown a fatal exception and is about to close. A movie has been detected. Would you like to try and save? (Note: Depending on what caused this error, this may or may not succeed) Fortunately, my movie still saves whenever this happens, and I can still play back my movie by starting over at the beginning, but this will cause some problems for me whenever I want to go back to a specific part. It's weird because I've recorded movies on this emulator before (and many emulators for that matter) and this is the first I've ever seen this error. I have no idea what's causing it. The emulator I'm using is Bizhawk 2.2.2. [Edit]: I figured it out. I don't know how, but I noticed that whenever I advance to a frame, whenever the game lags, the emulator will skip those frames until it gets to a frame where I can input the game. The problem was that before it started to happen, I saved some states in those lagged frames, and that's why Bizhawk closed on me. I'm not sure why it started to skip the lagged frames all of a sudden, but the problem has been resolved.

It won't load .bin? Shoot, then I need to find another game file. I'll report back if anything changes. Also, the bios that I found has a different hash than what tasvideos says here: http://tasvideos.org/Bizhawk/Firmwares.html Does that matter?

I have the prereq installed, and my laptop is up-to-date. What do you mean load the cue? How do you do that?

Hey guys. So I've decided to play a couple of Playstation games on Bizhawk, and whenever I try to play them, the screen just turns black, as if it's about to start up, but nothing shows. I found a Playstation bios on the internet, so I don't THINK that's the problem. It might be the game versions that I'm using, but I doubt that too. It's weird because I've gotten games to work on it before, but since I've gotten a new laptop, I've had to repeat the process, and it's stumping me.
