Different difficulties could lead to unique routing, and It could lead to more submissions for existing tases if easiest and hardest are allowed so i agree. Just hope the two submissions are not nearly identical. The low% for Standard sounds good to me since it has become so common for players to want to do that too.

If Chip and Dale 3 is a sprite replacement hack for Heavy Barrel, then one may TAS Japanese ROM of it and try to playback the input on Chip and Dale 3 ROM, although I don't think it will work
It was just a little joke I put in featuring Chip and Dale 3 with that hilarious fake cover. Simple sprite hacks like that would not be accepted. Anyway, great job!

Very nice improvement! Lots of very smooth movement and cool to see this improved with these faster techniques! The final question I have is now when will the masterpiece that is Chip and Dale 3 get the justice it so righteously deserves?

The sprite flickers are gone right? I think this is pretty harmless fun. Could go over well with a more general audience too. Would like to see the full screen flickers replaced more though.

To my knowledge, there is no way of finishing the game with $0 unless the healing trick is used. Given that the game has a specificly coded ending for such a scenario, I’d argue that it’s not a debug leftover. Why would developers include a special ending just for the debuggers/play testers? Whether or not to consider it a cheat: Because using the trick costs the player score/money. I’d argue that it’s not simply a cheat, but more of a hidden technique. To me, a cheat wouldn’t generally cost/hurt the player. Some games have such things that aren’t mentioned in the manual; and some manuals hint at such special techniques, but don’t explicitly say how to perform them.
Your view makes sense that it was intentional and not a debug leftover since there is a unique ending designed for $0. The trick is also really simple with a select button click that takes off a massive amount of cash and refills your health once, which sounds more like just a hidden mechanic. So it is not something that utterly trivializes the game nor easily abusable.

Is that select button trick to heal yourself with 3000000 considered a cheat? Is there any other way to get $0? There are some debug leftovers in the game so wondering if that is part of it.

Kinda defeats the entire purpose of other Golf TASes that target lowest score, or as branched by the other Golf TASes as "maximum score" to outright replace it with something that isn't. Link to video Here's a YouTube video comparing the two, where the two-stroke solution (Right, "Lowest Time") on Hole 8 carries over a ~1 second improvement all the way to the end in comparison to the one-stroke solution (Left, "Lowest Score"). In the process of making the two-stroke video, however, I fully realized how the camera system works in terms of additional time saved and thus would like to submit an improved movie whenever I fully redo it. I assume this improvement would be submitted to userfiles, correct?

Ok so after my post on the 19th asking about whether different character or characters could be faster, you had changed the goal to "Santos". Is there a faster character, or is there a combination of other characters that would be faster?

Could you post an example like a user file, video, submission of completed tas that shows more strokes being faster? Otherwise this goal of Lowest Strokes would be the same as Any% AKA Fastest Completion as far as I can tell atm. Interesting to see that Riptor has some really fast short combos that work out well. Also liked the "bad" Jurassic Park ending, which quite a bit worse for humanity compared to even Fulgore's Terminator ending.

Pepper-Color, have a couple questions. 1) Did you try to switch between characters to see if it was faster? Kamakura, the Ninja, in particular seems like he has a very powerful Sword Sub Weapon attack as you can see here https://youtu.be/muY2c2BU-Og?si=AIYbrdqeuhIpLPZJ&t=2791. Game looks like it was inspired by Smash Bros. which is nice! That little spinning thing of death with the flower pokemon digimon is really effective. In that one stage with the tubes, why not use that more instead of throwing the enemies around? In the previous stage you were just using the move and they were dying at a touch. Also, does this game have anything like down hits to help the pokemon on their way out when falling?

This is an impressive TAS! I see that at the end of this TAS there is a congratulations screen which shows that you beat the Interplanetary Tournament, but then the ending goes on with how one day you could participate in the Interstellar Tournament. I have a couple questions about this. 1) I see you mentioned beating City League, Outdoor League, and the Interplanetary Tournament in the verification movie, but what is the Interstellar Tournament mentioned in the credits? 2) Round 4 which always has only a single puck active, and the Interplanetary Tournament which has all the arenas was what the verification unlocked? 3) How is the Round 4 that only has a single puck selected post game? 4) Is it correct to say your submission beat the Interplanetary Tournament with selecting only the Round 4 for each arena? This lua script will test for when it is possible to continually jump in mid air. It seems to occur when you go onto an elevator or when Joe Musashi somehow ends up being pushed down inside a moving platform. Then jumping and attacking is possible in a loop among other actions like running. If someone else wants tackle this to find improvements to the current routes or alternative spots to activate this go ahead. You could join us in the Shinobi discord linked below if you wish. The current tas features several spots where this state is active. with the script running it should be obvious in the section with the sludge area in the BioWeapon level in particular.   1. Eldest Souls Arena boss fight game with a pretty complex powerup and abilities that work well together. Very well controlled movement and responsiveness. The hurdle that prevented the game from becoming more popular was its overall demanding difficulty. Liked it enough to do a speedrun of this game a while back as well.   2. Steel Assault Platformer with a unique rail type ability that allows interesting movement and attacks. Plays well and apparently works on Linux according to devs. Although that may be through that Steam thing, and not an actual port. https://www.speedrun.com/steel_assault/runs/y27r676z
  3. Carrion Unusual Metroidvania that is kind of like katamari damacy and a stealth takedown game. As the "carrion" you gather up biomass from defeated foes while trying to escape the facility. Changing goal to All Levels. There is only one unlock-able which is a plane you get when you beat all levels which requires beating all the bonus levels plus the final stage. "All Levels" does seems to fit better, since maybe in the future there would be someone would would want to get all the stars. Even though getting all stars would be not very fun since it would mean not using any specials vastly increasing each level completion time.
