In my case I only try to vote on games that I really understand well or are obvious in one direction or another. Also the criteria are so ambiguous. Technical could mean many things. What about runs that are extremely time consuming but boil down to brute force approach to find really fast sections? It may only use a single trick but may be dozens of hours. But should another run that uses some assembly information that only took the author a couple minutes to acquire get a higher rating? Entertainment is also poorly explained. Look no further than Masterjun's Mario 3 run. The video itself contains next to no game play but you had people rating wildly differently for different reasons. Although I think this is the better of the two criteria. Also I am from the USA and in our school rating system a 70 is just barely passing. So should I at least minimum rate 70 since almost all of these tases I find passable? Or should it be like a standard distribution where normally good criteria should be around a 5? So yea. It would need some changes if you want people like me to vote more.

Nice jumps... Especially those ones in between the bullets and near the spikes. Made this look easy when casually I found this to be a pretty hard platformer.

The only other attack that uses bar with a non directional is one that is like Minion's attack that requires holding R1 then Up Down Up Up. It uses the whole advanced bar so pretty fair. Also good to know those utility ones are allowed.

Ok What I was calling a special attack they call "Advanced Attack". They only list freeze burst, high jump and rear attack, but at the end tell you there are others with even more inputs. "Advanced Attacks and maneuvers are performed by pressing different sequences of the Directional Buttons. Since your vehicle's direction and acceleration may be affected when executing an Advance Attack be sure to familiarize yourself with controlling your car before you attempt them. Advanced Attacks are extremely useful and allow you to attack your enemy when you no longer have any weapons. They also enable your car to maneuver in unusual ways, creating combination attacks when used with other weapons (see Combo Attacks on pg. 10). Practice with Advanced Attacks and maneuvers listed below. There are many possible Advanced Attacks in Twisted Metal 2. Most Advanced Attacks require 3 or 4 button sequences, and some require more. In Twisted Metal 2 the Special Moves are developer intended based on the fact that there is a Special regenerating bar for their sole use. The rub is that some inputs do not use the Bar, but are for more utility purposes and are extremely easy to do, like pressing two buttons. This leads me to believe they were intended to be found and used. The special moves that actually use the Special Bar should all be acceptable. Codes that are just for utility that do not actually affect the strength of your car should also be allowed. Codes that do not use meter and have an effect on how your car interacts with other cars should not be allowed. Below I have classified what I believe should be allowed and what should not be. A moderator on the speedrun forum wrote this "I'd say any attack that uses energy isn't a cheat. Even says in the manual that there are more attacks than just those. Generally things like inf ammo don't use energy." Which is also in line with what I would consider fair game. -Allowed -Special Attacks - All moves below use Bar Minion's Special - Uses All Bar Napalm Code Freeze Burst Code Rear Attack Temporary Shield Drop Mine code High Jump Temporary Invisibility - useless in 1P -Allowed -Misc - Utility Use, No Bar Weapon List View Disable Radar - this might reduce lag as well Rear View Mirror Select View - changes how you view the level. Higher you go the more lag Hidden FMV sequence - no point to use -Disallowed "Cheats" - No Bar Use, drastic often permanent effects in Gameplay Health Boost - Exchange weapons for health. No bar use. Infinite Weapons + Turbo Invincibility Mega Machine Gun Homing Napalms Massive Damage with Ramming Minion - Minion would be absurd to use. Sweet Tooth - maybe, but you need to use a code to unlock him. He sucks anyway. Thoughts?

Hmm making notes and looking at the first boss I noticed a problem. I was able to make 8 frames of improvement safely where the rest of the movie actually played correctly so I will be uploading an improvement later today.

The game itself is wacky and entertaining, but I cannot quite bring myself to finish the movie. Watched like 20 minutes, but it is pretty slow. Meh.

Did I find this entertaining? Yes. Did I think this should be published as presented? No. This version was not an actual game for calculator, neither homebrew or through some publisher. However I would say yes if this version was released as a homebrew, aka "TiKevin83's Daleks v1.0" or something along those lines. Being able to just change the code to get a faster result means it should really be considered a different game or at least a different version each time something is changed.

Good job on this Tas. Looked really slick. The bird boss was quite interesting since I was having trouble understanding what was even going on with the strange jumps. Also, what was even happening in that glitchy Arctic level? Yes vote.

Never played this, but it looks optimized. I did notice a little moving back and forth to get the next lich (english evildead). Would it have been possible to always get the next lich on the next tile? That last boss looked tight. It hurts entertainment that about 85% of the entire run is comprised of grinding though, but that is par for the course for rpgs like this I guess. There is an English Phantasy Star on the site already so how would you calculate time saved?

I found the first couple minutes dead boring, but once the pace started to pick up about half way through I started to like it. What a horrific game where the poor man is ultimately forced to be run from an ever-evolving inescapable predator that the player can never outrun, ultimately ending up being caught and eaten. On a another note it kind of looks like you could jump over its head on 7-7 at the start. it looks like the bugger does not quite adhere to physics very well as he is floating in the middle of the platform. I also suspect that because the dino moves so fast he very well could glitch through you due to his high rate of speed if you position just right. Also on 7-6 with the two platforms right above each other, instead of jumping off to the right, couldn't you jump down and around the dino? Meh because the first half was really boring.
