For the record, I totally love glitched runs, ESPECIALLY the sub-10 minute Zelda 2, 3, and 4 runs currently published on this site. The difference here is that this is a hack, not a real game, so glitching through it did not come off as entertaining as the others did, and just gave me more of a desire to see the rest of the hack in action. Again, just my opinion.

I think this especially goes for no-votes.
I explained mine. My opinion is that, just for the simple fact that this is a hack and not a true game, it needs a walkthrough-type TAS and not a speedthrough-type TAS. Look at the AIR hack. Not only was that a walkthrough, but the improved version was rejected because it was faster and less entertaining. The movie demonstrates the crazy hack and it is very entertaining to watch all those intended glitches being used to complete the game. I would have voted no on that movie if the author had just jumped up through all the ceilings and flown over all the levels.

While I think this is a completely gorgeous hack, just as great as Super Demo World, I don't think it makes a very good hack demo if you just glitch past everything! Perhaps if you collected all the faeries and avoided using the massive warp glitch, it'd be much better.

This was ten times more entertaining than the full run. By the way, You turn big during the credits sequence. :P

Oh yeah, TASvideos is definitely a school for pirates! We encourage people to engage in illegal activities by providing our videos using BitTorrent. Of course. That makes sense.
This was never supposed to be an anti-bittorrent argument in the first place. It's a pro-youtube one. I was just providing a valid argument against the "No youtube, bittorent or kick" mentality. Agree or disagree, but don't flame me for it.

GeminiSaint is going to kill me for saying this, but... I'm going to vote meh. It's a difficult game played very optimally, but it's just too repetitive and not all that interesting, especially for 30 minutes. It kinda makes me wish I could read Japanese, though. By the way, I'm pretty sure that it's not the same guy. The bosses are all different people. I think "cosmo" is an attribute. Edit: oops, I clicked the Yes button by accident.

I understand that BitTorrent is an awesome system and I understand that there are many, widely-used legal things to do with it. But take a second and look at the target audience of TASes: Mostly kids, and video game freaks at that. Force them to use BitTorrent, and guess how many of them will go on to become pirates? Do you think that very many of them will be "mature" enough to restrain themselves once they discover TorrentSpy or MiniNova or whatever other site? How many of them were mature enough to restrain themselves once they discovered the internet had porn? I bet you could count them on one hand. Anyway, I realize this is probably going a little overboard from an argument to post TASes on YouTube.

Nice try, but that's really different. BitTorrent is like an emulator: yes, it's not illegal by itself, but would you really be using it if you didn't intend to pirate anything?

There are many, many people using many, many bit torrents, that are nothing but totally legitimate.
And I'll bet you anything that next to none of them are the YouTube retards.

For the record, I started using BitTorrent to download TASes from this site, and since have gone on to... well... use it for... other things. If you're not already a pirate, it's a gateway. That's all I'm saying.

Some people don't like breaking the law. Seriously, there are two ways to watch TASes: Emulation and Roms, which is highly illegal, and BitTorrent, which either implies that you're already doing something highly illegal, or you are about to. I like runs on youtube. I can show them to my friends on their computers, or relax during a break after my classes to watch one.

I enjoyed this movie, so I'm voting yes. I don't like this particular Kirby game, though. It's just the whole fact that the gameplay turns from classic Kirby level design into nothing but autoscrollers and gauntlets of doom later in the game. It just doesn't feel Kirby enough, in my opinion.

Great improvement, nice new glitches. I should note that, at this point, I think I like the old movie better. For one, it's more representative of the game, and for another, this movie feels unoptimized in places. Voting yes, of course.

This thread is ridiculous. I'd like to note that it's common for grade schools to have lower standards for grades like this. Yeah, I know, it was sooo long ago, wasn't it?

There are a few doors that don't switch from horizontal to vertical. I think the scrolling operates on a data table, not just switching back and forth.

especially how your health continues to recharge the whole time you're in the acid.
That part is called NARPASSWORD. I'm referring to the scrolling glitch.

http://www.helixgamesinc.com/gamesindex.html Jumper 2 is a crappy gamemaker game that's too freaking difficult and way too addictive for its own good. Jumper 1 is okay too. Kind of. Jumper Redux was ruined with worse collision detection and bad jumping physics.

If we're talking about weird warping glitches here, I'd much rather just like to see someone do a Select glitch run. ;)

Here's proof that we haven't seen the end of Metroid glitching yet... http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5380/effing_bizarre.fcm

There are no doors in Metroid 2 except for missile hatches.

Also, CAD did not find the statue trick; someone else found that, you should probably thank them. CAD referenced it from the trick page.
The trick page only explains how the morph jump works, it was already being used in the TASes. I simply found an application for it that nobody else noticed.

Well, since you just bumped it back up to the top of the queue, it's going to take a couple months longer.
